Report Big Band Coming To PS3 April 22nd (NA/SA)

Wait a fucking second, is the character in the background of Big Band stage an homage to Chris Farley?
It sure is. He is standing next to a van down by the river.

I would like to point out that the screenshots on Encore's Playstation Store page have been replaced with screenies of Big Band, with some that also include the new stages.
 
Around what time would the PS Store update, anyway? I need to know so I can start getting him the minute he drops (the beat).

actually does anyone have the newest patch notes, I kinda want to see the differences between encore and beta

Will they update steam with the PSN release or?

i would expect PC version will be updated tommorrow.
 
My last few weeks have been lovely; last year, these same weeks before I knew Skullgirls existed were shit: I lost $10, ripped a gaping hole in my shoe, had the worst argument with my gym teacher, became antisocial and very upset, etc. This year: I get to see some Eliza beta, WE GET BIG BAND FINALLY, I have an awesome field trip tomorrow, and everyday I hang out at Skullheart to end an either lovely or shitty day....Ah, the feels.

Don't you mean the Marie 300% where her pallet was changed to show that she's powered up?

I was playing arcade mode and marie had a red pallet and her skin was red and the skulls eyes were red and had a black aura
 
Marie has a red palette for when you fight her on the toughest setting. Same for Marie 300%.

it's possible she could be too big for PS3/360 to handle. Remember, they can't even handle two simultaneous win poses.

There is a VERY SMALL, PRECISELY LIMITED amount of memory allocated for loading all the frames that characters keep around when they aren't on point - hitstuns, standing, falling, jumping, their assist action etc. Win poses do not fit into this amount of memory because you'd need to load all poses for all 6 characters.
There is a much larger amount of memory allocated for holding all the rest of the art for two characters at a time - each team's point. In this goes everything else, including win poses. All win poses for two characters can be part of that because you don't have to load 'em for the other four.
This is the same reason we don't have 3x same character on all teams: the memory allocated for assists is the memory for the six largest assists in the game with a maximum of two per character - say Merry Go Rilla, Titan Knuckle, Hornet Bomber, Cilia Slide, etc. Let's say those are 100, 90, 80, 70, 60 units of space. If Cerebella's third largest assist is bigger than Hornet Bomber, say 85 units, then allowing 2x Cerebella on a team could run the game out of memory if they choose MGR/Titan Knuckle/3rd largest/Hornet Bomber on down, by requiring 100+90+85+80+70 which is more than 100+90+80+70+60. Now I never have to explain any of that again!

As long as Eliza is smaller than Big Band and Cerebella (and she will be, those two are GIGANTIC), she'll fit on console and win poses have nothing to do with it.

Yes, Lab Zero fully supports all elected diplomats living in foreign countries.

In all seriousness, it's great for console players because otherwise there would be no game at all. We fit six characters where BB fits two and Persona fits two and a half. (^.^)

Would you be able to unload all the frames on the third character, and load the winpose frames for the current active assist during the death slowdown? And I dunno what for Duos, unless that memory allocated for the second assist just sits empty.

I had to reread this, I thought you were talking about Jon and Big Band the first few times.

Well that's a bummer, but now it's made me curious as to how it's done with the point's assets when tagging/DHCing.
 
if big band should be out 10 am pst, does that mean he will be already downloadable or he will be downloadable some time after 10 am pst?
