I'm more annoyed by this because, being that BBCF will be the tournament standard once it drops on consoles, I'm kinda stuck with the no dub sadness since BB is rapidly becoming my main fighter (although apparently I'm also stuck with low-damage Noel sadness in CF)
 
I blame Guilty Gear.
I will take this to my fucking grave unless it comes back in Extend.
That was the start of all this.
They cut corners and didn't dub Revelator because of that games subpar dub.
Fuck I hope they reconsider and make it DLC or put it in EXTEND

Worst thing in it is that BB dub is actually good. And they incorporate the localization jokes of gag reels pretty well (hearing azrael screaming MAH BODEE IZ READY was worth the time spent reading it
 
I don't even like this game too much but I feel for ya'll. Hearing Patrick Seitz ALL-CAPS voice mid-match was definitely a highlight for me in the series.

The lack of concern for consistency coupled with the dlc shenanigans really leave me concerned for Arcsys's quality standards as of late.
 
Don't care for the dub since I usually prefer original audio in my games/anniemays but feel for those that did like the English voices.

Blazblue was one of the few anime games that bothered with English dubs. The rest of the anime games didn't see it as a worthwhile expense. Guess Arc Sys came around to this mentality too starting with Revelator.

Think about it this way.

If they did dub the game, by the time we got this Blazblue, the next version would already be on the way in Japan... Then they'd have to dub that game. It's better from a gameplay standpoint.

Well that's disappointing. I really liked the BB dub and probably I wouldn't have known about the work of Cristina Vee & Patrick Seitz if it weren't for the CT dub track.

I hope Samson sounds more like Ragna whenever we get Skullgirls 2: Spooky Skeleton Edition.
 
I legitimately do not want to buy CF at full price without a dub, it'll feel half-baked.
If It takes waiting until the EXTEND version or a fucking patch, so be it.
I won't be able to get into the story half as much without the dub.
 
Blazblue's makes no sense anyway so it's okay.

Don't work this way with Arc games...

They always, ALWAYS launch a revamped version of the game anyway, so the dub would mean we'd get the EXTEND, exceed, plus r or other sub name version dubbed


So... It'd be the same game with balancing and DLC chars included. After the extend, things cool down for one year, maybe more before the next BB.

So yeah, a dub would be doable and could be added as a post release patch/free DLC

considering dubbing costs money, I doubt they'd give away a post production dub away for free.

I'm annoyed that Arcsys doesn't do the English and Japanese voice work simultaneously. Given that BB's dub was a big marketing deal when it dropped, I'd have figured they'd be more eager, but we all know how well Japan and globalization get along. Honestly I'm more bummed at the continued eschewing of rollback netcode from Japanese games in general, but I'm going to miss the dub a lot.

I can see that, wasn't BB Christina's first major gig (no clue about Patrick)? It's also kinda sad for her since she would probably have voiced at least 5 characters in CF (since Saya is the source of the Murakumo clones). Mind you, I only knew about her from Madoka Magica, since I didn't really enjoy BB until CP. I played maybe 30 minutes of CT, but I found it too clunky, and while I got CSEX on Steam (which was no less clunky) that was after Skullgirls, so I knew more about the voice cast by then.

Oh yeah, Bang's new VA always sounded out of breath. Like he'd just run 10 miles uphill and then had to yell in a mic.

I'm really upset that BBCF won't have English dub. I got into the series since I first got Continuum Shift on 360 a few years ago, and the English dub in CS and CP were pretty good. Aksys did the dubbing for BlazBlue for, what, 7 years now? To take it away in the (possible) last entry in the series is a blow on the head.

I seriously hope that BBCF wouldn't be dub-less for long and that Aksys add English dub as free DLC one day.
