Well that is a viable option if you don't have Xbox One/PS4 and want to play the most updated version plus the mods benefit.

So now we got

- New moe girl

make up your mind. but yeah, definitely gonna pick this up when I get a PS4.
 
Lisa's new bikini looks great, I also like her Encore DLC costume. Even if it is a recolor.
 
I might pick this up for PC, but I will wait until the requirements are more fleshed out.

Don't think the gpu minimum was listed yet.
 
At this point, the Steam page has this as the requirements:

  • Processor:Intel Core i5
  • Memory:4 GB RAM
Nothing mentioned about about video cards or processing power yet.

I'm not a fan of the schoolgirl archetype. I was hoping she would be a punk rock girl, given how the glove had a skull on it.

I'm honestly just not feelin' it. Word is the folks over at TN love her and she's a favorite, so we'll most likely be seeing her in all their DLC packs like MR.
Yea, kinda not excited about Last Round, but hey, least we got Raidou.
 
Yeah from a gameplay perspective not particularly excited about her or the other mimic character Cyborg Raidou.

Doesn't change though that Honaka would probably end up almost as popular as MR is in Japan.

Anyway, Last Round patch is out for PS3. The upgrade is free and you get a shit ton of new fan made costumes. Honoka and Raidou aren't on the PSN store yet, so hold yourselves.
EDIT: Should mention that you also get DoA1 music and Shiden's theme from DoAD as unlockables.
Alpha-152 got four new costumes (But they're recolors of a schoolgirl outfit, still cool) this time. Lucky her.

I got the update since I got Ultimate on a sale a while back, but I sure didn't expect Honoka to just be Double.

Also there's Nyotengu. I really should try to learn her. She seems fun.
 
Nyotengu is fun, and it really helps to learn how she plays.
speaking of, I really love DOA5's character tutorials.
simple and easy to do, while actually showing you how to play as your character.

well nyo's combo trials are fun, but i doubt their practicality.

and i'm not a fan of tag combos. do people even play tag mode or do they stick to solo matches?
 
tag matches seem great when they're one round, best of 3 looks like agony.
it is agony if it's in story mode. I hate 2 man teams.
 
I never bothered playing Story Mode. Didn't like how Lisa was the punching bag the whole way through next to Christie.
 
well, she is one of the few antagonists.
also, she's not in the story that much if i remember.
Zack is in the story more than anyone else.

my two favorite parts are with Lei Fang and Jann on the train, and Eliot and Christie's bar scene.

I mean, they never explained why she went back to Donovan after going out of her to way to stop him in 4. Something about her being a double agent. She did get a lot of screen time, but usually was just there to beat up.
 
learning a new game sucks

after 20 matches online, i won 3

its pretty discouraging at times

PS4 get's new stages and hair styles so I can't give you a proper opinion on either of them.

Yea? I don't use her, but from what I've seen on FSD is that people pick her up, then drop her because she's one of the slow, but strong fighters. You might have better luck asking FSD members about Nyotengu, I know a few over there who know how to use her pretty well.

well i like the archetype of slow heavy hitter characters in most fighting games i play.

but checking her combo thread at FSD offers only DOA5U stuff. so i don't know if those even work anymore.
 
Nyo is alright. not one of my preferred.

my mains are Jackie, Akira, Helena, Christie, and I've considered picking up Marie.

winning through pure scumbag loli tactics.

I beat my friend today using Honoka's Rock Paper Scissors taunt, needless to say the salt was flowing.
 
i just tried out the command run through for a bunch of characters

i tried hayate and got to the command for Raijin. I'm on a 360 pad.

It took 2 hours to do that mess of an input.
