really though if we're confirmed as main game does the possibility of pot bonus take precedence? (in the events section on the index page) imo main game > pot bonus with regards to picking an event for the sg community to all agree to go to

Big E never used to the term "main game" for us at Summer Jam, however, we have pre-registration, stream time, and a pot bonus. The only difference seems to be that I would run the tournament instead of one of Big E's staff.

Go to whatever you can. It will be far healthier for SG to have 65 people show up to both SJ and NEC instead of 30 to one and 100 to the other. Consistency is the key to staying alive. If we can't be counted on to show up with respectable numbers to all of Big E's stuff, then we won't get to sit at the big kid's table for long.

Combo Breaker is "The Big One". Let's spread things out for the rest of the year.
I'm Skipping AGDQ. Me, Biz Casual, Bit Strife, Beamsprouts, and Jayford are all going to try and make it this year. NorCal going in full force!
Someone's salty their game didn't get in :^P.

Yeah as Elky said, I wasn't quite sure what to write there.
Someone's salty their game didn't get in :^P.

That was last year! But nah since I got into SGDQ I don't really think I want to go to another GDQ after this for a while. Especially since I had such a good time at NEC last year.
Given on life during the winter, i think I might be able to. or maybe not.

If Im still in retail, Im screwed from attending due to holiday blackout :'(
Whaaaaaat this would be SICK
yeah it depends more on the time since im trying to get a new job, and i dont know if i will be free but i will try to make that possible since i couldnt go to combo breaker or evo.

Retail is murder... I'm trying to leave as soon as possible...
But in other news... Woah... Must go to this too... Requesting off ASAP
Wouldn't miss NEC for the world. Last year was my first one and had a blast. Looking forward to meeting everyone again ^,^
Alright I should be able to make this as well; my finals don't start until the 14th.
This is relevant:

Holy crap, so hype for this, I hope I get to go to and meet you.
...i bought a wiiu buuuuuuuuuuuut i miiiiiiiiiiiight still make it if i get mother type loan and pay her back when i get back, i just need to check the hotel room price so i can make an actual budget.

Thought I should post this here since this could affect people's ability to go to this.

To sum up the story from what I've heard, Capcom decided to have Capcom Cup the same weekend NEC was going to happen this year and so they're trying to change the date. They're looking to either make it the weekend before or the weekend after.

Noteworthy concerns to point out that might affect some people:
  • The weekend before is Thanksgiving in America and conflicts with the last qualifier for Capcom Cup (More an issue for Capcom fans)
  • The weekend after doesn't have any scheduling conflicts with tournaments and holidays but if you're a student, it might affect your ability to go because this is usually neck deep in finals time.
If you have any preferences, be sure to let BigE know via twitter or FB.
Going to change the date on the link on the forum index to ???? until it's settled
As soon as someone gets an update on the date and can post a source please come here!

I have to rebook my flights and if they want to charge me full price again I'm so dead.
Please let it be after capcom cup
Most people on Facebook are asking for after.
November is too close to thanksgiving so flights are really expensive and people have to do visiting.
It would also make it the final major of the year.
I'd like it to be before but i know im in the minority, i know not of your..., thanks...givings?? Later will probably fall in my finals and I'll have to pray to rnjesus that the finals for my subjects don't fall on a thursday, friday or monday.
Big E will apparently be announcing the new location/date for NEC tomorrow.
oh boy... at least it didn't fall on finals week for me for this semester... on the plus side I'll be able to take the train to Philly this time. should cost less than last time, i hope...

I just remembered that ages ago (just after the IGG finished? idk.) people were talking about once the game was done having an event where there'd be a side tournament for one of the much earlier versions of SG to see haw far the game had evolved and laugh at all of the broken stuff from back then.

Figured I'd mention it in case people still wanted to do that - NEC could be a good fit as it's outside of the main tournament season, etc.
