Dragon Ball FighterZ

The way he's moving through the air in those few seconds, as well as his pose remind me of Izanami from BlazBlue. But if I remember the translation that came out correctly, some of his moves allow him to move 8-directions after they are done. That's going to be interesting to see.
 
You thought nipple fusion was bad enough, now we have fusion at the crotch.

How is it in most fighting games you can only choose English or Japanese VAs for ALL characters?! I mean, does Zeku have an English VA? I know Skullgirls has this property, but Kid Buu's Japanese voice... stays good.

And... it's bad. At least Vegeta Blue is a decent bit better now, and Krillin's assist is more reliable which I love. Otherwise they're just removing interesting things and... not even wrist-slapping Cell, more like poking Cell. Oh yeah, and they nerfed Broly just because he didn't line up with their vision, I guess?

Bugfixes are fine I guess, but it makes me sad that Team Red used to make GGXX, where they modified Anji's unblockable by making it metered so it could still be used but not abused, to just removing so much emergent gameplay and things that make characters distinct without even balancing properly.
 
Yeah, first they hype things up with that whole list of characters they were going to touch up on and then 80% of changes are bugfixes.
 
I don't even necessarily mind the low amount, but... this is taking things in a certain direction. Nerfs before buffs. Anything unintended but interesting gets the axe regardless of which character it's on.

Someone on Reddit asked what people's thought would be worst and best for the patch. This was my answer.

"Worst-case scenario is that combo and mixup variety is restricted among the strong characters without any more combo and mixup potential being introduced to the weaker ones. Yes, this includes Cell loops. I think they should lower damage on some of his moves, but there are already so many times in the lab where the game goes "lolnope.""

There are at least twice as many nerfs to combo/mixup/oki as there are buffs. Plus, I honestly didn't think about the chance to meaningfully nerf some top-tiers but not others, without bringing anyone else to the top.
 
When's the update that makes Recoome Ultra Fighting Miracle Bomber uninterruptable?
 
Fused Zamasu & Vegito update is today. The hype is real.

The problem is this: I have the FighterZ pass which accesses to all DLC characters and upcoming, but they seem locked. Why? Any responses are available.

Vegito's theme sounds like something out of Guilty Gear. I love it!
 
I just checked the most recent palettes for the new additions. Color 2 is essentially another reference to another Dragon Ball character or a costume that character wore. I'm still calling Zamasu's Color 2 a Hsien-Ko reference.
 
So...looks like we finally got a switch port. Now you can Goku on the Go!
 

I can't believe this set really exists. TOp level DBFZ is the most hype i've seen in a while.
 
I feel like I am taking crazy pills since I keep hearing that (about this match specifically). I find DBFZ to be one of the least interesting fighters at the professional level. What's the appeal?

I should add that I actually enjoy DBFZ's gameplay before I get accused of that. But I don't think this game would have a fraction of the population or accolades if it wasn't Dragonball.

Lol, pretty much everyone I saw giving opinion on the movie said Broly is the absolute worst case scenario.

Maybe if were lucky they rewrote him into an actual character.

I hope so. Aside from the whole "being the legendary Super Sayian and having a really stupid motive for revenge", he has nothing else going for him. (Except for his theme in FighterZ. That's some good stuff.)
 
Well if leaks are to be belived..

Frieza finds Broly frozen in ice sealed up somewhere and frees him, and rats out Beerus by sayong he was responsible for commisioning planet vegetas destruction , so beerus is out to kill Beerus, leacing rpom for Frieza to be the new God of Destruction

Blame Toriyama's Editor. If you read his comments, Toriyama was completely unaware of Broly despite the popularity, and his Editor said he should revisit Broly for the next movie, Toriyama even said "I apparently at least drew the design for him"

I haven't read the comments yet, I'm planning to.

That last sentence makes me giggle and I have no idea why. He's just like "Uhhh... I drew him?"
