that is a very shit excuhose if I do say so myself.
I have mixed feeling about it really. At
this specific point in time what they're saying is accurate. They're already in crunch mode and modeling new characters/costumes, giving them proper animations (yay boob/hair physics), contracting/recording more voice actors, editing sound, changing the script in a meaningful way that doesnt make them feel tacked on (saying npc's would react the same to females/males in that time period is BS and would feel off), debugging what ever arises from adding more content, and what ever I'm leaving out.....all that can really add up, especially considering the game should go gold in about 3 months.
That being said, if they'd planned for it earlier they could have done it.
And that being said, I'm not sure it really matters. On one hand you could argue that the lack of female assassins fits with that cultures' views of women. On the other hand one could say that assassins should have a much more liberal view on women and would be more proactive as assassins. On a third hand (just go with it) who even gave that answer? The writers, a designer, a programmer, an artist, etc? The person who answers can very well change the context and reactions to the answer.
In any case, of all the ways to explain that was among the worst. Silence would have been better.
