She's not homosexual though
Soleil is bisexual with a stronger preference for women. It's not much different than stock ladies man character that falls for male protagonist-chan.
It's still lame that she can't be romanced by a female avatar, but don't go gettin' all that biphobia now. Biphobia is no good and it's fuckin' everywhere around this game.

I don't care.

I don't give two fucking flying shits about that argument. If all her conversations on and off the field basically are swamped with her saying "I love women" over and over and she only marries men, then the people not caring about actual bisexuality are the writers. She's doesn't have a stronger preference for women, she's fucking INSANE for women. She'd marry a man and reproduce with him just because his female form was that attractive to her. Her entire existence revolves around liking women. The very existence of her bisexuality is purely for the fact that she can marry a man.

I'd love another bisexual character, that'd be great. If only the people in this game actually knew how to effectively implement a single damn one!

I can't see her as a bisexual character. It just feels like an excuse for her to marry men. There I said it. Because her attraction to women doesn't matter. It's a joke. It's bait. It's nonsense. It wouldn't matter if she's 99% attracted to women and 1% attracted to men, the 1% is enough to have her only be allowed to marry men. She is the living embodiment of "They're just friends. Wait till she meets a real man" shit that piles onto every series EVER. I'm fucking sick of just how blatantly sexual women can be with other women in fiction just for it to lead to nothing because their only choices are twelve hot dogs slathered in mayonnaise! I'm DONE.

I just, holy shit I need to unwatch this thread. I honestly scratched myself and I need to leave.

I've heard pretty good things about the supports in the game, so I'm curious to see how the localization will do stuff
some stuff in Awakening's english version was pretty different, some for the better like Gregor and Nowi, and some for the less better like Laurent and Severa
so I'm curious to see how they're gonna handle this one

I don't remember Lon'Qu being that strong but I racked up a ton of kills because every other attack he had was a crit.

so if she's anything like him, I'll be happy.

or if she's like Vaike that's good too.
 
Also just want to throw out there that while the character creator being so limited is a definite minus, I do like the look of some of the mc's possible.

I'm going with a red-haired Kamui, since then I can headcannon she's the reincarnation of my red-haired Dark Lord mc from Dark Souls.

Finally made it to a less depressing universe.

I mainly paired Nowi and Kellum because I looked it up and it might give her good stats.
and I have barely used Donnel.
even though I'm playing on normal mode, I still hate seeing my units die in battle.

Donnel/Nah is the girl.

The girl that runs maps by herself.

The girl you bring to Apotothesis.

The girl you don't have to worry about at all.

Until he gets aptitude and if Nintendo implemented enemy units running away in terror from a unit, he'd be like one of the 10 units to get that animation.
 
it's less about Donnel and more about Nah
a Donnel-fathered Nah is a terror machine
the only other possible thing that might be to surpass that is a Donnel-fathered Nah mothering Morgan with the Avatar
 
well, it's too late for me to change that now.
I know that Donnel has good potential but bringing him to that means I have to sacrifice him until he can hold his own.

@SanoBaron you're playing on Normal, right? Reeking box that boy up.

On hard I would argue he's not actually worth the time nor the gil, since plenty of your other units can have splendid galeforce inducing children, but on Normal, go for it.

Other than that, all I can think of is that there's a reason why Chrom can't father Nah
a Nah with Aether is just terrifying
a Nah mothered Morgan somehow inheriting Aether is even more terrifying

There are 2 kinds of difficulties.

Normal and Casual

And Easy, Normal, and Hard.

Casual brings your units back, the three modes under that are about how difficult the game can be.

That's why you restart every time they die.

It gets the real arcade/Souls juices flowing when your last checkpoint is 30 minutes away and a single mistake means a restart. The tension/hype/excitement becomes very real.
 
It's also a huge downer when a death happens. I tell you the salt that flows when someone dies, it can be devastating.

everyone has the one character that they just like to kill on occasion

Thatt shit happened alot in older FEs where a specific unit had to talk to another specific unit to join my side.

So many side characters were slain.
