I don't know why this conversation is off topic. This is the gaming general thread and all that and I don't think anyone was really heated over the topic at hand. We have a new game coming out that may or may not feature an intersex person Angelic host of ambiguous and non-specified genitalia barring future information; and the history of Erika led to an aside on representation in Atlus games.

But if we're switching topics I have a question. I have $20 for steam and haven't played a steam game in years. Any good RPG's?

I would have suggested FF9 if the port wasn't trash. Maybe Epic Battle Fantasy 4? It's technically on flash sites too but the paid version has some extra stuff.

I would really appreciate if someone would do that, whenever really. I just wanna make it clear i'm going to be very strict on enforcing proper and respectful terminology. But i love the Catherine franchise so I do wanna be able to discuss it with everyone.

Also I just wanna make sure we are talking about games here not just random offtopic posts about peoples sexual orientation. It's irrelevant.

Question Arcs are Episodes 1-4.
Answer Arcs are 5-8
Togheter they're the whole shebang.

Unlike Higurashi, which are sold episode by episode, Umineko's Question/Answer Arcs are all four together. YOu either get all four together, or none at all.

If you like fighting games, there's also Umineko: Golden Fantasia which isthe Doujin fighting game that's actually kind of hype
 
@Jutsei Oh I completely misread that. I thought you were talking about Higurashi, yeah I can definitely look into Umineko, I've heard of it but don't know much outside it being a wild ride.
 
Picked up Puyo Puyo Tetris. I still hate Guideline Tetris but the other half of this game is fantastic.

So, I've been playing the Azure Striker Gunvolt Striker Pack On 3DS, which is basically Azure Striker Gunvolt + The Sequel, and it's pretty good.
As a result, I looked up to see if Inti Creates made up any other games after the Mighty No. 9 Incident.

Turns out, they've been killing the shit out of it lately.
They made Blaster Master Zero, which is pretty good, and also has quite a few guests (including Shantae and Shovel Knight)

And they also made "Mighty Gunvolt Burst", which is an 8-16 bit-ish game starring Beck and Gunvolt, and has the curious choice of having every Boss be a MN9 character
This... sounds godawful, right? It turns out, nope. It's everything Mighty No. 9 was supposed to be, and has a TON of playable characters, including some from Gal*Gun
 
MN9 had a couple neat idea in it that I liked, its just that the execution was....poor.

Im all up for giving the property another chance.
 
Blaster Master Zero was fantastic. I guess I'll have to check out Gunvolt sometime.
 
Mighty Gunvolt Burst also has a multitude of DLC characters (Only $2 too) if Beck and Gunvolt aren't enough
They made Call playable (including 4 of her unused designs) and not shitty, and also put Joule in there as well.
And Ekoro from Gal*Gun

The latest update adds Ray form MN9, Copen from Gunvolt, and Kurona from Gal*Gun

What's crazy is how each of them is unique and plays differnetly, even Ray has the Health Decay + Melee, so now it actually is a better MN9, it is quite literally the apology game.

Finished Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, both of the games are pretty good, if you can, look into getting the "Striker Pack" on Switch which has both games.
I'll def look into playing Gunvolt Burst when I get a Switch.

True, a 3ds port would of been great, as it would of aloud for the classic combat, but as it stands I'm fine with the new combat. Especially, since now that we can fight with the joycons it might make a bit more fun, that or way to easy. We'll just have to wait and see.

controlling Neku with one joycon and his partner with the other would actually be pretty hilarious
 
Worst case scenario you hold the button and you aim with gyro controls. Other than that, uh, toggle pins with a press of button, Neku goes into his attack animation, and you aim with the right control stick, with melee attacks being more automatic?

I'll opt to just replay my copy of the DS game. Not sure how the Switch game will ultimately play out but losing the second screen has me as optimistic as if they announced a new Etrian Odyssey on the switch without the map on a second screen. It just feels wrong.

The Direct mentioned you can either play with classic touchscreen controls or new Joycon controls.
 
I'm planning to play Dark Souls 1 for the first time on PS3 'cuz I got it a year ago.
Why?
So I can appreciate the REmaster more.
Won't I appreciate it being remade when I see firsthand how shitty Blighttown is at 10 FPS?
