The fact that Zappa is still in the story, but never made the Xrd Roster pains me. I passed on playing Xrd purely because I didn't want to just slum it on Faust hoping for ghost DIO to show up.
 
So I was thinking this from the first teaser but now it REALLY looks like either Zappa took over the mantle (and name) or the ghosts moved to Faust.
 
It could also be that all the denying of physics he did for years is finally taking toll on his body.
 
I don't buy it. Now he looks like a generic evil background guy. That red eye is impossible to take seriously.
 
Or maybe this is because of the fact that Ishiwatari said this was going to be a redesign of this series through full-frontal confrontation. So this could be days after he got exposed when he was Baldhead.

Still doesn't explain why Potemkin has his armor from Xrd, though...

Yeah, we have to wait until after St. Patrick's Day for the recent update. Chances are, Millia can't be too far from the horizon. Or that new mystery character.
 
The trailer just got released like really just now, but... expect a double dose of assassins. Spoiler alert: Zato's outfit does not look like this.

We're just getting the GG1 cast?

Assuming Aria as Justice and new guy from first trailer to replace Kliff.

So far, that's a good theory... if you include Baiken and Testament as the final ones in the base, followed of course by Dizzy, Anji, Johnny, Jam, and Venom as the first part of the DLC.
 
Just so you know, Arc System Works released the set of moves for the first seven base characters. Millia and Zato might come soon as well. And fortunately... Faust gets his mystery box super again.
 
So is the damage actually super huge or is it GUTS/defense ratings making warping the life bars so the last 10% is actually half a character's HP or something?
 
I'm still wondering if, once you get the horn, do the mini Fausts still attack you, or do they turn on Faust?

From what I seen the damage is actually SUPER huge.
In the event of no dropped combos, a lot of matches can end in two combos.
If you receive some stray damage in neutral before being comboed you can die before GUTS can even kick in.

The mini Fausts attack Faust and ignore you if you pick it up!

I wonder, if GGSt's damage is so huge, maybe they should just make it best 3 of 5?

Here's the most recent character polls relating to Strive in general on who's going to be the next character.

What are the odds Arc System Works will just go "out there" and add Venom next? Cause he's not on any of these top tens, not that I'm bitter...
 
SO much better.

Dunno what "genius" thought that attaching and moving Burst and Risk gauge with HP was a good idea.
 
To the guy who thought the GG1 cast theory was a promising idea, I think you might discard that, either that, or she's resembling Justice.

Also, is there a law according to Daisuke Ishiwatari that says any female character in Guilty Gear must wear some sort of hat or hair accessory? (You'll understand why I said "hair accessory" when you're talking about Baiken, Jam, or Dizzy.)
 
ram looks great, surprised we didn't get an elphelt announcement with her because clearly shes going to come back in some way shape or form
