Update: Zelda's second weapon is officially the baton


Now, before you get made, this is cause most likely the Wind Waker itself is going to be one tier of the weapon. Whether it's the weakest, strongest, or both, has yet to be seen.
 
Zelda, what are you doing. Stop waving that fairy stick around and pick up your sword.
Seriously though, The Wind Waker is a cool item and I'm pleasantly surprised that it's getting attention in this game, especially as a weapon.

  • Crossover titles (Pirate Warriors, DW: Gundam)
I mean, you can hop right into DW, but it's a little jarring, especially for a new player.

I personally highly recommend Pirate Warriors. Both 1 and 2 are perfect Warriors games with unique characters. The only downsides are no weapon choices and the small roster of PW1.

His is the "Hylian Sword and Shield", and we've seen his basic weapon already. Bring back the Razor Sword though!

Hokuto Musou is kinda
different
it's slower and meatier
with a tragically small cast (but a top tier dub)
The second one is more warriors-y but it doesn't have as much character, imo (partially because it wasn't dubbed ;__;)
has a larger cast, though
 
Really, though, the goron rep should definitely be Darmani. In the first half of his HP he's a regular goron, second half he turns into a fucking ghost and wrecks your shit with super ghost powers. Now I know he never had super ghost powers in MM because being a ghost sucked in MM but creative freedoms.

I would say that Darmani and Mikau would work both as MM reps and being the most plausible reps for the Goron and Zora races.
You could say that Princess Fishboobs could work as well, but Mikau has a weapon right there
 
I think you have to be a pretty big One Piece fan to find enjoyment out of the PW games. It's like the opposite of the Batman Arkham games where you don't have to be a fan of the comics/lore to like 'em.

I don't think so. All I did was watch the first season of the 4Kids dub (shudder), and since the story mode is literally the abridged story, you get some good introductions for everyone except Brooke.

Honestly, the gameplay is so good, and the single player adventure mode so fun, that even if you're not a OP fan it's a lot of fun. Knowing them just makes it better.

Sheik has been confirmed as a playable character in Hyrule Warriors in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. Additionally, Darunia and Princess Ruto are playable as well. All three characters are from Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

I had the same reaction, I was kind of hoping that we wouldn't see sheik in favor of other underrepresented characters.

I'm gonna say:
  • Kung-Fu shoes/gloves for Impa. Gives her the ability to just melee the hell outta people
  • Boomerang for Lana. Call it a hunch.
And finally, I'd be really surprised if we don't get OoT Link and Zelda and Ganondorf as the enemy.

I doubt it. I think they were less put in for their sage status and more for the fact that their race. We needed a playable Goron and Zora, so they picked arguably the most famous ones.

Gerudo and Kokiri are too human-like, IMO. They wouldn't change too much.

Besides, we have a Gerudo. Here's a hint: His last name is Dragmire.
