Hyrule Warriors [Name Now Final] - A Collaboration Between Nintendo and Tecmo Koei for Wii U

My reason for not liking Twilight Princess
I played it.

I still never saw any of the hatred towards Skyward Sword, or Twilight Princess for that matter. I can apreciate them.
But then again, I appreciated Shadow the Hedgehog when I was little Jutsei

Don't have a reason to dislike it, so I don't.. Only played LttP GBA edition.

I understand like, disagreeing with criticisms of something and enjoying the thing anyways.
But how can you not at all see or understand any of the criticisms that people have been saying?
You cannot comprehend the idea that
  • exploration was (almost, with goddess cubes barely counting) completely dropped
  • a sidekick character and gameplay elements that thrived off of actively punishing exploration
  • the absolute worst Princess Zelda in terms of relevance and interaction with the plot
and my own personal fucking grievances like a forced connection to all the other Zelda games and an entirely one note villain?

After all the bitching I've done over this fucking game, you can't see any of it, you have no idea where the hell I'm coming from
in any fucking regard?

Oh yeah, and a joke that starts out with My reasons for disliking Twilight Princess followed by a spoiler in which I actually describe why I like it.
I can definitely see issues people have with gameplay, but it added a bunch of conveniences like being able to cut grass while running, and the circle menu for items that let you quick select stuff (admittedly the circle menu was done better in SS, but it kinda ruined that by having only one item allocation button).
It had the best Princess Zelda, even when helpless she always felt in control and plotting and you know, the fucking bearer of the Triforce of Wisdom and a likable sidekick character with her own characterization and story arc.
And it shook it up with the items some, what with the Beyblade skateboard thing, just in general, and the fact that instead of another hammer you got a cool ball and chain thing (AFTER DEFEATING A COOL BALL AND CHAIN GUY) and they mixed up the clawshot mechanic by adding a second clawshot, letting you zip around like Spiderman.

What if I said I didn't like Twilight Princess eh?

And that I preferred Skyward Sword?

(Granted Wind Waker is best 3D Zelda by far)
Hey youT Stop sharing my opinions... I like to feel like a special snowflake.

First review is in from Famitsu. Now, they're pretty biased towards Japanese games in general (they gave Other M a 37/40, I believe), but if you'd like to read it, go ahead.

Yoshida: 9; Seriously. It’s “Warriors” and “Zelda”. You got the action of “Warriors” and the charming worlds of “Zelda”, and it sounds too fun! The foundation of the gameplay is definitely “Warriors”-based, and although there is a lack of puzzle-solving, the two works are fused together so nicely and truly became a top-quality means of entertainment. In Adventure Mode, you move around and solve puzzles in the style of the original 8-bit Zelda. In Hyrule Warriors, you will enjoy a great combination of both freshness and nostalgia, and that is a very good thing.

Jigoro: 9; While not destroying the world of Zelda, the action has been modeled after the “Warriors” series and it is exhilarating. You will be firmly placed in the battle, which is also good. Fans will smile at the small details which can be found here and there, and it is good. The soundtrack is arranged in a familiar “Warriors”-series style, and the feeling is very uplifting. I also feel great during each mission because the checkpoint system treats you very kindly if you fail.

Namuko: 9; “The Legend of Zelda” has a history and is receiving a secondary creation, and the final product is a winning combination. Deriving from the “Warriors” series, you are a lone commanding officer and are seeing the perspective of two armies battling, and you feel the scale that I think extends to the power of a country like Hyrule. As it is a transition from established puzzle solving system into chaotic action, I accepted Hyrule Warriors as a fresh interpretation. Since both products are separately masterpieces, I was expecting their combination to be more than a masterpiece.

Bunbunmaru: 9; The peculiar puzzle elements of Zelda are basically non-existent, but the tempo of the action is great and can be enjoyed comfortably. You are dropped in the system of “Warriors” but in the world of “Zelda”, and it’s so amazing that there is no discomfort in this combination. If you’ve ever played games like “Dynasty Warriors” or “Samurai Warriors”, then it will be easy to play for you. When locking on with z-targeting, for example, it helps make the boss encounters considerably like the Zelda series. The smiles of Zelda fans are going to be numerous!

So someone managed to get their hands on the game early and uploaded the final boss... (watch at your own risk)

The temptation to click on that is mighty

In the beginning, that character select,
is that all the characters you think?
Cause if so there's nothing beyond what we know now, the four extra spaces are Ruto, Agitha, Zant, and Girahim.

The Japanese site got rid of the "And more..." marker, so maybe not. I mean, there's still the chance for a super secret character or two, and TK sometimes adds onto what should be the "final" character select screen by putting ONE MORE or something, but if there's only the 15 characters I'm fine. Especially cause multiple movesets.

man
to think that tingle is the final boss
boy did they sure trick us

I KNOW.
And that part,
where he stabs the soldier through the chest with a ruppee.
Holy hell I didn't see this coming.

I can't believe his final words though

"Link, I've always been your fa--"

Does he mean fan or father

FAN OR FATHER

I somehow appreciate the jiggle physics they gave him.

Here's Cia without her mask and some story spoilers

NOTE: This information is a summary from a livestream I missed.

-Ganondorf does not wield the Triforce of Power in this game, Cia does.
-Lana is Cia's good side having been separated by Ganondorf.
-Ganondorf made an attempt on the Triforce sometime before the game started and was stopped by Cia who used the Triforce of Power to seal him away. But as a side effect (?), Cia was split into good and evil halves.
-Cia loses her mask in the above screenshot when Midna punches her in the face for making fun of her imp form.

EDIT: Incomplete artbook scans (Spoiler warning? I'll put it here just to be safe, mostly for that final scan.)

EDIT 2: Here's a link to the guy's stream if anyone wants to watch, obviously there will be spoilers (and yes, he's streaming as I type this.)

Question in regards to that recent information leak.
What does the triforce of power even do at this point if Ganon is still capable of wrecking havoc and using powerful magic without it?

Who knows at this point? The powers of the individual Triforce pieces have never been clearly explained TBH. Plus, if I remember right, Ganondorf knew magic before ever obtaining the Triforce of Power and presumably he got at least some power from Demise. I always figured that the ToP just enhanced his existing magical abilities or something.

Holy shit was... was Link almost a girl at one point? That's.... I mean, we joked about it, but it would've almost been an all female cast.

What does the triforce of power even do at this point if Ganon is still capable of wrecking havoc and using powerful magic without it? Don't know much about the lore regarding the triforce so I don't know exactly how things work yet.

Honestly, trying to possessing a Triforce at this point most likely has more to do with trying to get all three to make a wish instead of getting one to make yourself all powerful, all courageous, or all wise.
In fact, I think the Triforce's title might have more to do with the person that it houses itself in more than what it does for the person.
I don't know, speculation.

F-FUCK, I looked at it without reading.

Gamexplain's doing a Twitch playthrough right now, and I'm totally spoiling myself with it, and it looks fun as hell. Holy. I need this game.

Might stop after a while. Might.

Thank you for mentioning this @Goodbye18000 since I am now gonna watch this myself, I want this game so badly but still don't have a wii U for it.
