Meant to post this the other day, but forgot until now.

Thanks for everyone that came out on Friday. It really means a lot to me that Kansas City Skullgirls is a strong as ever in a time where more and more people seem to be apathetic about the game. All I really want from playing fighting games is a game that is fun to play and a community that's fun to play with. You guys provide both. :)

I'm going to making better efforts to improve stream quality in regards to audio and having overlays and things of that nature. I'm going to talk to my friend who runs the KC SRK stream about that stuff so hopefully I'll be able to making it look SLIGHTLY more professional in the near future.

Alright, so KO: If you're coming, and need housing, please contact me here in this thread or through PM and let me know. As far as I know I haven't heard from anybody, so I'm assuming nobody is going to be taking me up on that. If you DO plan on staying here, please let me know ASAP.

Spooky Halloween hookup at my house tomorrow! For this GHOULISH hookup we probably won't be playing Skullgirls, because myself and some others want to take a small break from the game. Instead we'll be playing spooky games like Streets of Rage Remake (ghostly) RE6 mercenaries (spooky!) and probably Niddhogg? Who knows, I'm down for anything really, I just don't feel like playing fighting games (unless its Injustice or something because that game is SCARY bad wooooooooo)

For food I'll probably order pizza or something. See you guys tomorrow, lets say start time 7 PM?
 
Thanks for @alexpi for driving out last night. We had a lot of local players last night at AJs. Its great to see the local scene so strong.

I wish I could have seen it firsthand. I managed to catch the very tail end of the last SSJ, but most of what I saw was you guys lighting that side of the room on fire.
 
So we got two new players interested in the game. One should be out on Friday. He wants to play Squiggly and Fortune.
 
STILL can't believe I found that shit on the spur of the moment. I just lost my shit I was like man IDGAF what the FUCK did I just even DO!?

I fucking called Item Drop M Level 3, SCOOPED you up with A-Train H, into SSJ, LANDED THE ITEM DROP, GOT A TAUNT, AND, BUSTED OUT TUBATUBATUBA.
That shit was next level and led me to find that there's actually quite a bit of validity to Item Drop Level 3 Assist both in combos, in baits, and, if in neutral control, a combo breaker should the person manage to get an upperhand and hit you while your Peacock is sitting back tap dancing.

Anyways, I am a little mad though about having dropped a bunch of stupid simple shit otherwise, I don't know what was happening.
I guess it might've been the Mayflash adapter? I dunno, something felt off, though, blugh.

But that moment is a goddamn keeper for the ages.

Folks are coming to visit this weekend, so I'll probably disappear till next week. I'm counting on you guys to teach the new players to not play Squigly or Fortune. Get them onto Bella or Peacock so they don't fall into low tier traps like most of the rest of us.

Also, if I host at my house in Lawrence, the only days I'll be able to will be Saturday and maybe Thursday, which basically means I'll only get people from KC out if AJ and whoever runs Thursday locals are out of town or something. Still, working out details and if it's a go, I'd love to see some of you guys out here sometime.

EDIT: I'm hosting on the 29th in Lawrence if anybody wants to come out. I'd love to have you over. We'll play whatever people want to play.

No Skullgirls hookup tonight. I'm going to bed early tonight to get ready for TOing Maxout tomorrow, an experience I can only assume is similar to when Snake first encounters the crazies in Escape from New York.

Next week I probably can't either, I'm hanging out with an old friend from high school who's in town for Thanksgiving break.

After that we'll return to your regular scheduled Skullgirls programming.

I'm hosting locals in Lawrence tonight on the off chance that any of you guys aren't with your families and on the other off chance you're willing to make the drive out. Check the Facebook group or PM me for more details.
 
Wow I haven't posted here in awhile huh.

AJ aka MoTheHawk is hosting again tomorrow Saturday. Hopefully people can make it out. As far as my Friday hookups, I hope to start doing those weekly (or at least 'semi' weekly) again starting next Saturday when the semester is over.

I want to start hosting weeklies again but...I'm going to Kumite in Tennessee this week, Maxout is next week, and the week after that is Frosty Faustings so...I really don't know when I can bring them back. In the mean time, go to AJ's (Riverside Dojo) on Saturday for all your Skellington needs. We play a lot there.

I'd like to do a major grind session (why is that what we call practicing ugh) at my place before FF sometime in the next few weeks though.
