for all we know, the ball and chains could be a metaphor. Maybe the theme of problems will be heavy burdens? like a ball and chain, we are often weighed down by burdens put on us by others, and ones we put on ourselves. I would love it if Persona was the grown up game that constantly shows growing up as a person. Just my two cents in what I hope the theme will be.

We won't get much else until we get another trailer.

The balls and chains will probably be tests and exams, they'll probably stop becoming filler and actually have a real effect on gameplay to show how seriously stressing the japanse school system really is.

Or they could be like weird social chains, people putting up fronts until you reach a certain point where you can take them off and converse with the actual people instead of the masks they put up.

Maybe the protag will come with a "ball and chain" at the very start?

Maybe a very needy friend or something like that?

I've been watching that trailer over and over again.

You guys notice that it takes ANOTHER chair to put the ball and chain on the prior chair?

The first chair is just by itself, but as soon as the other chair comes, the first chair has a ball and chain on it.

Also, the chairs behind the initial row don't have balls and chains on them.

Maybe the lead cast of characters are all free until they meet up and thrusted upon some bullshit?

A hunger game style of representatives(hence why the chairs behind the first row don't have anything on them).


Maybe the playable cast are the chosen few of that specific classroom to play in those "games", and each classroom has like 5 or so players at a time, and losing that game or test results in serious consequences for that class?

The people in the front row are playing for everyone else behind them.

I do agree main cast Personas should be left for Soejima, if not just for the sake of consistency. Also, Soejima's Persona designs are certainly more "marketable". Disco Ninja Frog might seem weird but it's very tame next to the stuff we see in the first 2 Persona games.
But I still think the acquirable Personas should be the ones designed by Kaneko.
So, bottom line is: Soejima or Kaneko? Why not have both?

The Night Terrors in Catherine were designed by Soejima and they were pretty cool so I don't oppose him designing enemies and stuff, it's just that I think Kaneko deserves some bleepin' acknowledgment. Besides, I'm already hurtin' from knowing Tsuchibayashi isn't working on Sengoku Basara 4. What's next? Music in GGXrd NOT by Ishiwatari?


Side note, I wonder why they couldn't just color Shadow Teddie's sclerae black. Adding glasses and whatnot, it seems like a very easy edit, but I guess that would take the impact away from the win pose...

Should I get the "Ultimate" Edition of Persona 4 Arena?
Since it comes with all DLC.
I mean fuck, Glasses DLC sounds silly but playing as Elizabeth with those cute as shit blue glasses? Tempting.

get it. all of the stuff unlocked is really good. (also naoto has a hazama palette)

Nicest shot of Sho's Persona so far.

Apparently the persona-less one and the persona ones have names written in kana and kanji respectively.

...Which combined with the half-face on that Persona is reminding me of P2 a bit too much to be a coincidence.

Yeah, looks like it. I kinda don't like only downloadable stuff too. I like having my system memory free, man. You could always just buy the game then buy the DLC separately to support Atlus more. But, eh.

the physical release wasnt that great. just a gimped remix of like 6-8 songs. get ultimate edition on PSN. its the best deal.

Yeah, that's pretty much the only problem I had with Ace Attorney 5. But as long as I can play it, I try to swallow my pain and look at the good side (you can never lose a non-existing game card or disc).

buy the digital suplex special version. wait till the physical version is super cheap. that way it wont hurt to buy all the DLC AND the game at the current price as is now.

yes but thats not counting the DLC too. the special edition is cheaper. get that, save money with the DLC too, and wait to get it on physical until it is BALLS cheap.
