Vulpes every time you write one of these huge posts you guilt me into posting some sort of gameplay thing, I just posted some thoughts I have on the Big Band vs Peacock matchup that I found days ago but haven't gotten around to posting anywhere.

We should let shit the fan more often if its going to get you guys to post good ideas.

Also, you dont need us to carry out some of these ideas. Like if you somehow got interviews from players and made a thread, a mod would have stumbled onto it or tipped us off and it would been made an article.

I leave for like two weeks and this forum goes all george orwell.
I would list all the reasons why this is such a stupid decision but it's been listed in incredible detail multiple times.
But if you want a little story, I used to frequent a yugioh forum that made a remarkably similar decision- they decided so many people disliked discussion of the yugioh anime and off topic forum games and such that they limited the forum to just discussion of the yugioh metagame.
Two months. It was completely dead within two months.

This is bullshit.

Let's not ignore that the Skullgirls community as a whole isn't one that's just made up of fighting game centric players. Let's not ignore the fact that the ONLY reason development's continued up until this point is BECAUSE of the support from people who don't have a huge stake in actually playing the game. Let's not ignore that there are formally active players who keep coming back here to engage with the people that they've forged friendships with over years of having explored a similar interest. Now let's piss on the people that have allowed you to continue to enjoy support for your game.

Prominent forums have off-topic discussion, it's a staple of the "community" built around groups of people with similar interests. I may not have posted much post-initial Skullheart apocalypse but I always enjoyed reading the opinions of those who engaged in the off-topic arena. Now that that's gone I have very little reason to come back. Before we were a community, now we're on the level of a large Gamefaqs or Steam forum. Good job guys.

Where'd the archived forums go...? I enjoyed staring at that subsection for an hour or two each morning, reflecting on the many harsh realities of life.
 
Weird. Thought that they'd use the archives as an example of what not to do at SH. Guess I was wrong.
 
Archive is still alive and not deleted [feel free to imagine why] . Could post a screenshot to prove this. I imagine it was removed from public view to reduce to clutter on the page since it's pretty much useless and a tease to existing regular members.
 
Welp, I was coming here mostly for off-topic, but did participate in Skullgirls discussion if I saw something interesting in new posts. Not much reason for me to come anymore you know...

Idk I came here for Skullgirls since it's the Skullgirls forum.
Since the change I've seen plenty of casual players and new players make training threads and start discussing their improvement along with much more Skullgirls content and Skullgirls gameplay discussion.

No complaints here :^)

I'd prefer that to not be the case. Making archived threads inaccessible for viewing by non-mods, that is. I wanted to go through a few offtopic threads for reasons various when I get the chance, I'd wager I'm not an isolated case when it comes to this.

Is there a specific thread/s post you want to look at for reference? Best I can do within my ability atm is possibly screenshot something for you via PM. In any case archives is not gonna be a permanent thing anyway. At least how it initially was.
