Some info from people playing the game. Granted I'm translating from japanese so some stuff might not be super accurate.
- B is the new default jump button
- Dual weapons have a dodge roll. Each roll uses up a bit of ink and leaves a small puddle of ink behind. When you roll, you become stationary for a second; you can either fire or roll again from this stationary position. You can only chain 2 rolls max before you can roll again.
- Unsure about the wording but you can either startup the new Slam special before or during a super jump to land with it??? unsure wording
- Chargers will now retain a charge if they go into squid form if they were already charging. You slowly lose your charge over time and you glow so you are more visible.
- Rollers now do the new vertical flick if they are midair when they start the flick. Grounded will do the old flick.
- The new laser special shoot through walls??? unsure wording
- The squid icons at the top during a match will now display what weapon everyone is using as well as if they are currently alive or waiting to respawn
- The new roomba sub weapon can be held to adjust how long it takes to blow up???
I saw the screenshots and if you need me I'll be in a soundproof bubble because I literally can't contain my excitement and I'm screaming. Screaming with happiness.
To be fair, all we see of Marie is her back in a kimono in a brief glimpse. No word otherwise, and how did Juss have another cat show up? is it some sort of Squidcat?
There are also new Octolings so Singleplayer is returning.
Obviously what has happened is that Callie continues her idol career, but Marie manages to get out of it to pursue her true dream: being the mysterious NPC that guides young heroes.
