In the Verper Arcade's video, he says that the extra time window to input the link is only before, meaning that you have 2 extras frames before the actual frame of the link to do the thing.
So, if you are fast with inputs you should be fine.
Really thinking now, they should just change the system to chains, i'm sure a more footsie related fighter can be well done with chain combos, but i'm okay with that.
With the less invincibility frames in reversals and anti-airs, mashing will be something less viable, and i like that.
Now the only thing i want is some changes to Ryu and Chun li, i don't know, give Ryu his donkey kick back, change his clothes, why isn't he a shotokan master at this point? I understand that he as the main shoto, "the Adam of fighting games", should have his playstyle around fundamentals, but he is looking obsolete compared to the rest of the cast right now.
Chun li, while she is probably going to be my main, the same thing, she looks obsolete compared to the rest of the cas, her design is the same, she got some cool moves in the early build, but they took it alway, i wish she had at least that uppercut like move that she has in Marvel 3 (that is part of her target combo in SFIV), give her something that makes her look more mature, old, some cool looking moves, break the mold, and her super, looks so bad, why change the angle? i want to see the kicks connecting, like in SF3, like in SFIV. Her V-trigger is probably the most simple, just double the hits on the normal, before was cool, double specials, they just needed to control the fireball ratio.
but this game is looking good, but i think they should follow the Nash, Ken, Birdie way of changing characters.
