We're due for the trailer tomorrow, Ed Boon promised showing fatalities too.
And a brand new character.
So that's Kung Lao, a new character, fatalities...
Probably a lot more, I bet we're getting more than just two characters too.

It's up, but it's kinda disappointing.
Not a story trailer at all, just shows two new characters and they're both returning.
For fuck's sake, where are all the new characters?
Like, Jesus Christ, I was excited seeing the four new guys, how about showing us more?

Best thing about this was Goro. Yeah pre-order now and shit, how about showing some gameplay with this dude?

I laugh my ass off if Goro is some tower mini-game nonsense only and that's why they don't show him.
 
I wonder about the tournament implications of "preorder now to fight as Goro". If after the game's release there will be no way to have him playable, I expect he'll share the fate of platform exclusive characters ('sup Kratos) and be banned from tournaments.

That said, he will either be available as DLC post-release or there will be no reason to competitively specialise in Goro anyway. Would be a shame if it's the latter, non-OP Goro sounds like a fun character to have around.

Right? I mean they said 50/50 but we haven't seen anyone new since the debut.
And Kitana (who I love playing as) is sort of a disappointment... it's like did anyone die? At least put in the characters who lived if there are gonna be returning fighters.

At least the comic is making it clear that Kenshi's son/Scorpion's apprentice will be in.
 
Gotta admit, even if you're disappointed with the reveal, that Kitana fatality was delicious.

Fatalities are nice to see maybe once or twice, though. After that they just mean needlessly waiting more time before the next match.

Kitana is back, I am happy. I don't mind if a few more characters come back, just as long as the ninjas are kept to a minimum.

The only remaining character I want to come back from the dead is Smoke.
And even then that's with a clause that he'd be a badass Smoke Zombie thing.

If you're gonna bring back people, bring back the very few good characters from DA and Deception
It's 2015, make Havik as cool as he was meant to be.

Mileena and Ermac haven't be revealed yet, once they are I don't care who they add.

Tremor also had an appearance on the Vita version of MK9.
 
He's the only ninja who didn't debut in an MK fighting game, and until the Vita port of 9, he was the only one who was never playable as well. Granted, he didn't have much of a moveset, but he was still playable (even if it was only for two challenges).
 
Ever since Karen Straussman confirmed she was gonna be in MKX I assumed it was gonna be Mileena (seeing how she was, you know, alive at the end of MK9) and she had a lot of story potential with the beginning of the story focusing on Kotal taken over Outworld from it's old new leader (Who I was hoping Empress Mileena)
I was also hoping Mileena would have a single variation where she used Kitana's fans, made sense to me after seeing how they put Johnny Cage and Sonya into a single character.

Separate note: For those of you who have heard/read the Mortal Kombat X comics, what do you think of Sub Zero becoming an evil ice wraith working for Quan Chi and Scorpion becoming the human of the rivalry? I think it's an awesome reversal.

Except that makes no sense on a few levels. One, we know Scorpion is still a hellspawn in the game due to some of his variations, unless they explain that. Two, that removes one of his key characteristics. Three, didn't Quan Chi revive the elder Sub-Zero as Noob Saibot? (Who still needs to come back. You've retconned three deaths now Ed Boon, you might as well. Also Cyrax, Havik, Nitara, Ashrah and Kabal. Then you can go and make more new characters) Unless this is a revived Cyber Sub-Zero w/o the cyborg body.

Well, Kenshi did say that Scorpion was something that Hanzo conquered many years ago, and Noob got thrown into the soulnado, so..................

Well, the MK team has to get people hyped about this game somehow........
 
Anyone see the last page on Issue #3?

Cassie Cage vs Frost coming up, apparently in a MMA ring (according to the Isue #4 synopsis.)
Kotal hanging with some other Aztecs and Ferra/Torr coming up, supposedly he's gonna be dealing with a Shokan uprising lead by Kintaro.
Sub Zero VS some robots.
Fujin and Raiden might be fighting Scorpion and Takeda. (Not pictured)
And the Black Dragon seem to be up to no good, with Kano getting in fights with Shokan in Outworld bars. I hear that later in the comic they're gonna throw down with the Red Dragon.
Also it's worth mentioning that Reiko seems to be getting cozy with Mileena, that sounds like a fan pairing come true, doesn't it?
Also there's a picture of Jax, so god knows what that means.


Kinda miffed that they killed off Fox, he was one of the only two new characters they introduced in the comic, was hoping he'd be the White Ninja. Well at least the 4 new characters confirmed to appear in the game are finally going to make appearances in the comic!

Yeah? You can call me out on this if you want, but I'm not sure if they are well priced given their length. But if you look at them as collector's items I guess the price makes more sense.
I'm a cheapskate so I see where I can read them for free...
 
So supposedly there will be 2 new character reveals next week, not holding my breath.
I imagine they've got to reveal Takeda soon, he seems sort of like the new protagonist. (People are gonna hate me for saying this but: He's more charismatic then Liu Kang that's for sure.) It'll be one of those "Yeah no shit!" reveals like Quan Chi- it's not even a reveal because we all knew he was gonna be in.

Any guesses about the bow using character? I reckon it'll be something like Reiko or a new character, and each variation gives him a different weapon. Like he'll have a bow in he one and a mace in the other.

If you were around for Injustice, you'll know a lot of characters will probably get spoiled there.
You could see both Hawkgirl and Black Adam way before they were confirmed in the story trailer

On Ed Boon's twitter, he confirmed that we're getting two character reveals this week!
Each one gets their own trailer
IGN's releasing one on Tuesday, no word on the other.

If it's Klassic kharacters again, I'm gonna be upset
If it's at least one returning kharacter from MK4-A, then I'll be fine.
If it's at least one new kharacter, I'll be very glad.
