The Palettes of Skullgirls

I checked the touhou database, especially any neko one and couldn't find anything that closely resembled that palette. I put "?" as a placeholder until anything more solid appears.

Reimu's the closest I got and aside from the hair most of the colors fit. I remember someone in the Twitch chat talking about it being an off reference but they could have been talking about Squigly. I forget.

Also Avery is colored like a Prinny. It really seems like a Disgaea reference.

I'm almost sure it is too, but I don't want to put any information I'm not 100% since these were used for a news article. The Fortune one is also an original palette sort of based on a Touhou character, but I can't remember where I saw that or any more details, so I didn't include it either.

As the Red Squigly palette above shows, a palette can look very similar to more than one character, so I don't want to make announcements on stuff I am not absolutely sure of.

Personally I can see a slight resemblance to a Moku made original...

Not just a random original palette, but how Double appears when disguising as Peacock in Peacock's story mode?

I believe they stated that they just wanted a cute yet creepy color for peacock hence why they made that one, however since its a very unique portrayal and creepy version of peacock that's hwy they use that one for "double" in story mode.
 
The creepy thing about that palette is its eyeless face. Funny, considering Peacock doesn't have any eyes on her face to begin with.

I remember hearing on Salty when the second Parasoul palette in the above post (aka Umbrella) is meant to be Fluttershy but Mike Z likes to pretend it's Umbrella instead

Mike can pretend all he wants to, but the palette's cyan eyes can't lie.

The Fluttershy cosplaying as Umbrella thing is really just for me to be honest. Wanted to be able to get 2 palettes in 1, lol. Officially, you guys can just refer to it as the Umbrella palette. The differences are so minor that the vast majority of people won't be able to tell the difference.

Y'know, I got same problem with blonde egret parasoul (No.8): She could've had red hair to show it was still her in a different uniform (like the fencing outfit color) or white hair to represent Adam (because Adam is the coolest dude ever don't forget that) but the blonde is just sorta . . . there?
 
Same problem but at the same time, the problem here is a lot less noticeable for this particular difference. A difference in hair color that big is easily spotted at first glance. On the other hand, eye color doesn't really stand out that much and perhaps more importantly, people don't usually make a habit of remembering the color of people's eyes.
 
I just keep mentioning those eyes to remind of who the backer had in mind with the reference. Not that misinterpretation is all that bad. The fact that there are people out there utilizing a pony palette without even knowing it has its charm.

Whatever the source material, I really like that Umbrellashy palette.

I'm glad you like it! Also, there are definitely more backer palettes. In fact, if I remember Friday's salty stream correctly, there are still quite a few people who haven't submitted their palettes yet ;.;
 
A custom palette was a reward given to the benefactor, angel, archangel and divinity backer tiers. 37 people who picked those tiers mean 37 new palettes. 17 have been revealed and made public so far, therefore there are 20 more ahead of us.
 
TT3TT I just want more epic palettes for my girl filia, I'm just waiting for that one color to be made that I can finally feel synced up with....also still hoping that means double will be getting more as well I feel bad she only got one no matter how epic it is.
 
I wouldn't mind that clayface double that was discussed ^3^

More IGG colors dropped as of the 11/20 update.

- Add more IGG colors! Valentine/Painwheel/Fortune/Parasoul.
We have now made EVERY IGG-backer color that we've been told. If you know any IGG backers with colors who haven't gotten back to us, HAVE THEM DO THAT.

Did Fortune just get a She Hulk palette?

It was added right after Nu Valentine and Charasoul.

So, we got 90's Jean Grey Parasoul, ??? Valentine, ??? Painwheel (is it Deadpool? It would fit the comic theme), and Trades Fortune (the awesome adventurer OC from the Casino stage).

Can someone help identify the other two?
