It's funny, every Smash game has been playable with the Gamecube controller in some form or another, even Smash 64 on the Virtual Console.

Smash Bros 3DS is the exception, unless they announce an adaptor for it (which they won't)

And a lot of people are saying the 3DS version is going to be "useless" due to GC controller support now, but I don't think so. The portability alone makes it exciting for me.

People are hoping for IR support for a 3DS GCN controller. Doubt it, but who knows.
 
I'll occasionally forget that the 3DS version even exists.

Still hyped for it though, but yeah.
 
I'm calling it now: to celebrate the release of Mario Kart 8, we're getting a picture dedicated to the blue shell for tomorrow's pic.

So for the hype I bought the Niko LAN adaptor (?) is that the word??...
Anyway is it good guys? it was from a friend who used it with his Wii
and it works in the Wii U, sadly I will not test until tomorrow, stupid Mario Kart! lol

I mean, it works... Not sure what else to say about a LAN adapter. The biggest problem I have with it is that there's nothing holding the cord jack in. So the ethernet cable can fall out if you jostle it hard enough, but it's not loose enough to really fall out on its own.

Yeah I DL's MK8 and Pikmin 3 (which has an awesome new update)

Yup that's pretty much it. I downloaded mine so it took about 30 or so min before the offer popped up, but once you have the game registered you'll get a popup that ask for what you want and then your mailing address (it's considered club nintendo merchandise even though it's a download, but whatever). Fill it out and they give you a code to used in the eshop for that specific game.
 
So I'm pretty jacked about both Smash-Fest and Best Buy.

So, I guess, for those of us who are going to it, which character will you pick first to try out?

I really wanna try Mega Man. I've analyzed his moves and think I already got a grasp on the best way to keep away my opponents. That and that fucking final smash tho

I'll be trying out Little Mac, Zero Suit Samus, and Rosalina the most.
 
I'll start with Ness if he's available, if not, I'll go with Olimar.

you mean what is RIGHT

cause what I think it is is that the characters that aren't in are either too new (Ike) or are getting adjuestments still. Sonic can be basically ported and buffed (with his FS nerfed) while Peach might need some changes to balance her a bit, such as removing the randomness from her Turnips.

This shit right here is why I play Peach lol.

Those feels when just as you pull a Bob-omb, Ike hits you and you take him down with you because of the explosion. Or even better you pull and toss a bomb when items are off.
 
I'm definitely trying Little Mac first.
Then Mega Man.
Then Olimar.
Then ZSS.
Then Villager.
And if the game hasn't been released with the amount of time that'll take, I'll pick Greninja or Rosalina or someone else who knows.
 
I would've dropped the Wii Fit Trainer, Greninja, Villager & Zero Suit Samus from the line-up and made King Dedede, Charizard, Luigi and Diddy Kong playable instead.

No sense in making all of the currently revealed Newcomers playable and if they're going to keep Sheik out of the fight, they might as well not have ZSS either. Plus in addition to wanting to know if Dedede and Diddy have new FSs, I also want to see more of the Poltergust 5000 and Mega Charizard X in action. (We know Lucario's Mega Evolution maxes out his aura but how different does Charizard's Mega Evolution make him?)

Also when's Lucario's new side B - Bone Rush

Never. All screens and video footage of him point to his entire moveset remaining unchanged. (Except the FS obviously) Sad because I'd rather Force Palm be his Down Special and actually have Bone Rush be his Side Special.

See, I actually like that we'll be able to see the newcomers in a competitive field. It'll let us grasp their movesets and stuff a lot better. We already know how Dedede, Diddy and Shiek are.
That said, yeah, a little disappointing we won't see their FS's, but they might not be finalized yet and for something that big it would be better to not show the WiP version.
 
With E3 2014 coming up I'm getting hype for Smash and what Nintendo might show off. I'm guessing they will show off some new characters, a release date, and playable demo. I'm excited to try out Mega Man, Rosalina, Pit, Little Mac, Zero Suit Samus, Ike(my main), and whatever new characters they might show that interest me.

A new character is a give-in, we already have a nice tentative release date (summer for 3DS, winter for WiiU) and a playable demo is confirmed at Best Buys!

But yeah. Hype is max.
