. . . and? Wayforward is an "independent game developer" aka indie dev, so Shantae is an indie game when the got their start doesn't matter.
 
It would be cool to see her though. If you take all her games he ye extra modes in then, Shantae has a massive variety of move to add in.
 
I'm over Shovel knight being an assist simply because of how important that an Indie character, let alone one that originated in America, managed to get an assist. That plus Dark Samus is pretty big for other characters who originated in America, because now it's not just all Japan (And some Europe, lookin' at you Diddy Kong & King K Rool)

Sakurai played (and apparently liked) Undertale when it was on PC.
It's coming to Switch.
Strong DLC candidate if anything.

rt tho the only indie character that I really think should be playable is Quote, due to just how important it is to gaming history

even if they have to make him, like, a mega man echo, i think Cave Story deserves its place in the game, moreso than other indie picks

Just for the record, I voted for Quote in the Smash Direct

Though, a comment made me wonder. That's Ridley, Simon, and King K Rool.
Who's left from the Smash Ballots biggest front runners? Probably Bandanna Dee.
and even then that's not a hard confirm, I heard Ashley was popular in the Japan side of the Ballot.
And no, don't mention meme picks like Goku and Shrek
 
Dee is a strong pick for Japan appeal.
They go nuts for him and he has merch upon merch, as much as the other main three
 
I'd laugh if they end up giving Shadow a CG trailer with someone else when he's revealed, making Sonic the only 3rd party to not have a CG or animated reveal.
Also I have another prediction; the 3 smash directs will start or end with a 3rd party reveal and in order of the 3 I predict
1. Rayman (and rabbids [and Shadow echo])
2. Geno (or Sora kinda up in the air IMO probably Geno though and Zack echo)
3. Indie character (or maybe just Banjo & Kazooie)

incineroar deserves to be in the grounds that Malicious Moonsault is the hypest shit in literally any pokemon game
 
I just hold an insane grudge against Incineroar squandering it's final evo design to just being another "kinda fighting/fire even though it's not fighting" design after 2 really good prevo designs which is why I really hope it's not him.
 
It's going to be Decidueye, Rowlet is crazy popular in Japan, beating out the second most popular Mimikyu and Rowlet fairly pop every else as well. So the 3rd evolution is going to be carried by the first evo, also Pokken. Or Zeraora just for being a flashy event legendary bull.
 
I would think Necrozma is a possible candidate, although I would at least think he'd be a boss character.
 
While Rowlett is super popular, Imcineroar seems to be the fav final evo of the starter trio, and is also the 2nd most used pokemon in japan vgc rankings. I can see him, despite me really wantimg ghost owl.

Anyway, I don't have any real wish or predictions myself but I wanted to say I'm ecstatic with all that Castlevania rep... Simon AND Richter (i'm totally gonna main Richter, he sexy), Alucard as an AT, Dracula's Castle featuring classic bosses from the series, Dracula himself as a boss apparently? ... and that music selection... I'm so happy tbh. I remember crying during the direct lol

Happy for the K.Rool fans, too young to have nostalgia for DKC (did watch the cartoon as a young kid however), but dude looks fun and nice. And the new echo fighters are good too (Chrom can finally take his revenge on Cpt.Falcon ^-^ )

Especially as it is official to the DK Stages in game now.

Why does nobody ever consider Silvally? It's technically one of your rivals' trademark Pokemon after all and it was made for the purpose of the villains' plan to capture Ultra Beasts meaning it has story related connections.

Simple enough, outside of Pikachu who can stand on it's rear legs, no Quadruped has been playable yet in Smash bros.


And I have some big news, the Traditional Best buy Locations for Smash Ultimate have been revealed...and they start NEXT WEEK!!!

Here are the list and dates of Best Buy Locations in the USA where we can play, with some possibly being Tournaments!
