So while we're on the topic, what would you guys think would be the best musical representation of the Sonic series, if you couldn't choose more than 1 song per game? Remixed medleys are okay though
For me I think it'd be:
-Green Hill Zone Medley (Including Green Hill, Emerald Hill, and Angel Island, all remixed)
-Chemical Plant Zone (remixed)
-The Doomsday Zone (remixed)
-Sonic Boom (original)
-Open Your Heart (original)
-Live and Learn (original)
-What I'm Made of (original)
-Crisis City (remixed)
-Eggmanland Day (remixed, but I'd also take Rooftop Run or Egg Dragoon or Adabat day)
-Terminal Velocity (remixed)
-City Escape Modern (original)
And if it were up to me Sonic's stage would be Eggmanland, not another green grassy zone. Though I'd be happy with ANY music not pulled from the first level or main theme of any Sonic game. In Brawl literally the only Sonic song that didn't fall into that criteria was Scrap Brain Zone, which is the weakest of the final levels musically.
Alternatively I would also be happy with a direct rip of the entire Generations soundtrack. :)

What's your problem with Sonic Heroes? It's one of my favourite vocal themes in the series.
I mean, like, fifth, but fifth for C40 songs is still godlike
Sonic Heroes is the most annoying fucking song ever. I hate it. And it doesn't help that Heroes is what started the series's downward trend IMO. Everytime I hear the SONIC HEROEEEEES, SONIC HEROOOOOOOOES line I die a little on the inside.
