What is ALSO interesting is that, looking the gem up in google, it's usually paired up with peridot

It's either gonna be Jasper and Peridot or Garnet and Pearl
they're the only two combinations that I can think of

I honestly don't care who fuses with who. Fusing in general is an amazing, awesome thing. And I love seeing it.

I find it interesting that Peridot and Jasper where basically tasked to check on those clusters, yet Jasper firmly believes that fusions are "cheap tactics" and "embarrassing"

Either way I just want to know more about Jasper. She's really the least in depth homeworld gem we've seen so far.

I think it was from that doyouknow tumblr or at least a variation of it. Don't take it seriously, at least for now.
 
So...anyone here that theory of Jasper being a fusion herself?
 
Jasper doesn't respect fusion, so that doesn't add up. But no, let's hear it.
 
It's always been up in the air from day one, due to her having pupils unlike the other gems but not unlike the gem fusions. This is mostly discredited due to Rose Quartz, but eh.

But the theory's been gaining heavier traction now due to the recent episode where we discovered the gem monstrosity in the kindergarten basement basically. The episode shows that several things: A: Homeworld has forcefully fused gems together, B: They've done it since the war (and most likely before), C: Forced gem fusions lack a single color for their "skin". Unlike normal gem fusions whose skin is usually based on the color made from mixing the original gems's skin colors, forced have their skins inconsistent. Often looking like they were haphazardly put together.

Jasper is currently the only humanoid gem shown with skin abnormalities in that way.

So the theory is definitely gaining ground. It's still up in the air though, so it's best to wait for any more canon info.

I for one like that theory; it seems to make sense. Her whole "fusion is just a cheap tactic" thing could have been her projecting her own insecurities, I think. Another theory my friend came up with when I was discussing the Jasper is a fusion theory was that she could have absorbed other gems (or other shards of gems) and taken their power somehow, melding their gems into hers.

i just don't care about Gem drama
I want Steven and Connie and Lion going on adventures
gem drama is dumb and poorly written
i want more steven adventures here in the show Steven Universe

Because HUMANS are complex. People aren't just two-dimensional. We're all kinda crazy. We do stuff because we're selfish, and we can be immature at times. What Pearl seems to show a lot... She grew a lot, and I can relate to why she does what she does. Which is why I like her so much...
