STEAMY GOODNESS: talk about games on steam

Bunny Must Die, $5
Half Minute Hero, $2.50
AVGN Adventures, $6.75...
I already have Half Minute Hero. Don't really care about the other 2 games you mentioned.

I was interested in "Shadowrun Returns", but it's only 40%. Plus my laptop isn't good enough for games like Outlast, Hard Reset, FarCry Blood Dragon, etc.

I've been playing lots of Long Live the Queen lately, man is that VN addicting. It's a pretty good Princess Maker game with several dark undertones and you can choose different routes to get different Epilogues. Not to mention the Deaths are gruesome but hilarious due to the pictures.

Here's an example.

That game's on my list, I love games with lots of ways to die!

Yeah, I've heard nothing but good things about LLTQ. I hope to pick it up during autumn/winter sale, along with Ys Chronicles and Risk of Rain.

Speaking of RPGs, I'm considering getting one of the Ys games because after checking around:
1. They apparently have awesome music.
2. They're remakes of old PC engine games and thus totally rock with that 90s anime style where everyone has blue hair, huge shoulder armor and those super pointy elf ears.
3. They're all 50% off.

You should add:

4. They are super fun hack and slash action rpg's that play like Legend of Zelda but swapping out the puzzles for a jump button and combos.
5. Boss fights are hard.

Also yeah, the music is pretty good

I recommend trying Oath in Felghana first.

You forgot to mention one thing.
There's two achievements in Long Live The Queen.
There's an achievement for getting all deaths, one for getting all bad ends, and one for agreeing to become a servant to the bad guy.
Normally I'd be against this, but since I'm fucked up and it's a cute game,. HAVE AT THEE!

I will do what I always do and go for the Neutral-Good aligned ending. Or the closest equivalent.

Well, no. I always go for good endings first.
Unless the bad ending is extremely depressing, then I do that first, then make things right with the Good Ending.
What's what I did with Infamous 2.

waiting to get some discounts and buy injustice

I bought 140 yesterday when it was only $1.40, and if the price gets that low again I'd definitely recommend that some of you pick it up. It's very short (you could probably finish in a little more than an hour), but one of the few platformers I've played in the last few years that I really enjoyed.

EDIT: Also got a coupon for 90% or X-Blades, if anyone wants that.

I did, and that's a pretty good surprise. Did not expect it to be that good and fun.
I recommend it.

Laptop: eMachines g730ZG
Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470
CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) CPU P6100 @ 2.00GHz
Windows 7 64bit

I broke my promise anyway and ended up buying Age of Empires 2 HD.

Hell that is better than mine. You should be able to run Sonic and All-Stars Racing Transformed just fine.

Too late now. The free trial has ended.

I'm currently playing Psychonauts on Steam, and I'm loving it. It's one of the most unique and funny games I've ever played, and it's a 3D platformer (with collectathon elements), which is probably my favorite genre. It also has some of the best level design I've ever seen in any game. Definitely recommend it to anyone who likes 3D platformers or just really unique games.

Bought the Sonic racer awhile back, it is definitely worth it if you like kart racers. One of the best in a very long time.

I bought the Sega racing game after the free period (OK, during it). It may be a Mario Kart clone, but it is a very good Mario Kart clone.

The only thing I don't like about about is that the title is too long.

I HEARD YOU ALL BOUGHT SANIC RACING! YEAHHH! I must play you guys, I'm actually REALLY good at that game.

Has anyone brought up Teslagrad? It is an amazing indie Metriod-vania Puzzle Platformer about a kid navigating an abandoned tower and learning about the past denizens of it.

The gameplay consists of solving puzzles of a primarily polarity-based nature (attract blue platform with red platform, send a box flying by turning it the same polarity as the platform it is on, etc.)

I tried the demo for the game, and it was amazing. I highly recommend the game, as I bought the full version immediately after I tried the demo.

Edit: Here is a link to the Steam page, for those curious: http://store.steampowered.com/app/249590/

So, apparently Ys1&2 is 75% off.

Maybe I'll get this one. It's less than $4 after all . . .

I bought Jet Set Radio for 2.49. Guys, go buy it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Guys, c'mon. Do it.

LLtQueen on community vote for discount now. If it will win (I hope it win) I'll try it.

Yeah, I voted for it.
If it wins I'm buying that.
It looks like Super Hexagon won the vote.
