I think you're asking for too much, unless you mean after the throw is performed
 
Well, just an idea.
Wouldn't mind something like throw > dash > continue combo
Or Air grab > ADC > combo
Or something.

I would love to see something like command throw rekkas (ex. being QCF Throw, QCB Throw, DP Throw all in a row, one after another), but I realize that's quite a pipe dream.
 
nope, those are called chain throws and those are very heavy in 3d fighters but to make sure they're not broken they need to be teched which i'm unsure of will be smart in this game because mike doesn't like really long stupid inputs iirc

Beowulf's intro with all the crew and stuff make me think of something. What if Beowulf's story involves real life Lab Zero making Beowulf and Beowulf ends up running around the world of Skullgirls and L0 has to chase him before he reaches the Skullheart?

Oh I hope not. I hope it's an interesting retelling of the poem Beowulf and I also hope Beowulf will be a bookworm for the sake of inspiring people to read more.

Beowulf's back story from before the time when Skullgirls is set is already the retelling of the poem. He killed/tore off Grendel's arm in the ring, then he beat the tar out of Grendel's mother when she dived into the ring in a rage.

It'll take a lot to top Poison's ending in SF4

 
But we haven't been to the part when Beowulf has long been king and has to do his final battle against a dragon, so it has only been half retold.

Beowulf being a wrestling champion might be Skullgirls' interpretation of being the king, the cosy retirement was the long rulership, whereas whatever awaits him in his story mode is the dragon.

I hadn't really got the cota reference until I looked into it, with colossus's ground grab.

Basically supports what I already theorized about him having a couple follow ups and a cancel button after initial contact.

Zangief and Colossus influences tho.

Manly ass grappler man.

Thanks for the video Cellsai, that's hysterical. I hate being a stickler but we have to keep discussion in here serious.
I really want to keep THE MAN out of my Den. That being said, when Mike Z was showing off Beowulf's Beat 'em Up grab he mentioned how he misses that kind of stuff from Children of the Atom.
I never played that game, what does he mean by that?

Colossus could do that stuff.

He can pick people up off the ground and hold them over his head. He can then walk, dash and jump around with them. Kicks do nothing, but every punch button does something different - forward throw, pile driver, or hold a direction throw (pushing any punch in the air just does a standard throw).

So Beowulf literally puts you in the trash. We're ascending to a whole other level here.
Here's my guess, after kicking the trash can with the opponent inside they will either bounce off the wall helplessly, roll along the ground helplessly, or be outtaked after taking damage. The last one is my favorite.

Ignore the thumbnails. I imagine when this move is finished they're just going to disappear into the can like BB's bell, Filia's tentacles, Valentine's body bags, etc.

Btw, the idea of Beowulf fighting in a ring brings me waaay back.
Also apparently the Dug guy was a proto-grappler already back in amiga times, what a trooper.
