Cerebella Resets Thread

The reset is classic, but bonus points for the devil horns
(BTW, you did the 360 too early, the opponent could have jump on reaction to the super flash cuz squig was still on hitstun when the flash applied)

I know, that was my mistake. Here's the same thing in corner with Big Band and 2 bars...

and a dead Squigly...

Note: you don't have to do the Bagpipe Blues taunt to kill the opponent just a normal SSJ will do.

Note: To have grab bag connect you must tiger knee the motion so that you are the same level as you opponent. If you do not want to reset the opponent you can do titan knuckle into excerebella into Diamond Dynamo after the second cr. mk.

This is sort of an exhibition thing but since this is a 1 reset to death (although gimmicky) in 2v2 I guess it's OK to post it here. You might could do this off Peacock's LBang to somehow make it actually half practical. And, y'know, not do the fancy backwards and totally spacing specific stuff. I guess the reset here is 'grab bag into Lenny.'

 
that is dirty and practicle, and doesn't need any assist...This is gonna become my new thing \o/
after some testing, here is the precise "how to use it" manual :
- you can use it in usual combo, you will be close enough after any restand or a Pummel Horse to make it work just following up with the c.mp s.hp.
- side it hits on only depends on the j.mp timing.
- on val, peacock and double, you need to do j.lp instead of j.lk (else it will just whiff for val and pea, or yu can't cross up because of the knockback for double).
-works on BB too if you super jump, makes it harder to input and easier to guard, but it is a thing.
- doesn't work at all on painwheel and cerebella, either j.lp and j.lk both whiff.

Re-made it, new musics, done without the YT editor so if they screw me again, at least they'll warn me, instead of leaving a vid with one music left in the wrong place...

hmmmm, if you do jump forward can you do a Diamond Drop instead? or would that give the opponent enough time to jump away from it?

Its always possible to jump out of a command throw. Of course they have to guess if you are going to throw or hit low or do Excellabella.

Yeah, you can totally jump forward and do Diamond Drop or a standard grab if you feel like it. Jumping either up or forward puts you in Showstopper range, so it doesn't matter much if you want to do that. Haven't been able to work Grab Bag into it, though.

I've been experimenting a lot more with this reset, and I'm finding a ton of things that can change what you can link off j. HP and how high people recover, like whether or not you chain into the launcher with an OTG hit like I did in the video, and whether you use j. MP or j. MK. Also, there's the short jump cancels Dragonos451 described a while ago. That might make things interesting. I'll look into this some more and post the results here later.

EDIT: Finally got some lab time. Let's take a look:

If you launch off an OTG hit (e.g. Diamond Dynamo > OTG c. LK > c. MK), you have to use j. MP > j. HP because j. MK > j. HP will almost always cause the j. LP or j. LK to whiff.

If you launch a standing opponent, you have to use j. MP > j. HP if you jump straight up for Merry-Go-Rilla because jumping forward will make j. HP whiff over most characters. However, if you jump forward for something else, you have to use j. MK > j. HP because jumping straight up will cause the j. LP or j. LK to whiff.

Interestingly, c. MK > j. MK > j. HP > j. LP works on Bella and Parasoul if the launcher doesn't follow an OTG, but fails if it does. Easier than the normal version, but only without hitting OTG.

For Heavyweights, the setup in the video still works whether you use OTG or not, and whether you jump up or forward, or use j. MP or j. MK, or link into j. LP or j. LK (Doesn't work well with most of the other characters, though). Also, Eliza works much better with the Heavyweight version I described, and pretty much only that version.

Long story short, most of what I showed in the video still applies, but put Eliza in the Heavyweight category, and if you don't hit OTG, use j. MP if you jump straight up and j. MK if you jump forward.

cLK, cMK, sHK (whiff) gives a bunch of options
-Diamond drop back into corner
-LnL or EB for those who push buttons
Not sure if you could get a kanchou set up, will try out later today.

And if you do that in the corner, you can get a fake cross down, facing-center-of-the-stage backward hitting copter. Cancelling it with dynamo before the last hit will make it go out towards the corner and get them back against it for combo.
Stopped doing them months ago because way too unsafe. Run stop resets FTW.

I sometimes do this in the corner and then immediately go low. Something about how it looks messes with people's heads.
 
@Slyzor those look cool, but know that c.mk, runstop, whatever is a very easy reset to block. After you runstop the only things you can really do are crossups (I think maybe Excellebella won't crossup, but I don't remember), so if you're facing someone who knows what to look for those will probably not hit ever.
 
You can jump back+j.LK, j.HP or j.MP, j.HP or just j.HP, you can backdash+c.LK, you can airthrow.

Edit: you can also hold back+s.LK

in the corner, the only cross-up w/ excellebella i remember is [ c.mk s.hk > excellebella ] before the second whiffed hit of the kick. it's a really stingy reset, though.
there was a video somewhere of it, but i can't remember who did it. i think his name was SKT-KST???
hell, there might be another cross-up reset using that, but if there is, i sure as hell don't know it.

I was doing an "advanced" reset compilation, but it seems like I should rename it "absolute expert resets", considering how little people knows about the possibilities after cMK run stop...

You can make it and update it as stuff is found, which is certainly a LOT more helpful than not having the compendium...

I find the anti marie compendium way more urgent.
At least people don't complain about bella being too hard to play.
But the world NEEDS my wisdom to beat Marie!

without a stagger setup, though eliza's throw range is good and works with the stagger setups IIRC
