does this combo work online at all i wanna know before i run it
Huh?

The hardest links are like 4 frame, if that is what you mean. Of course it is possible online, any combo is.

thats an awesome ultra thanks dude
You've managed to become "most annoying poster on Skullheart" pretty quickly, nice work.

Stand aside Mike I got this :^)

Hi 5th of dismember! All combos work online because Skullgirls is very lenient with its links, even online.
Also GGPO provides the illusion of lag free gameplay because you can chose the amount of delay that your inputs will have.
Most combos are only a tiny bit harder to pull off online but they are still very easy once you get it down.
I hope this answers your question!

once again im so sorry i didn't mean to Spam if that what i was doing. i was just looking at some of the combos so i could practice Eliza. ill keep my posting to a minimum

as i newbie to the sgc and fighting games in general i was making sure i had good viable combos to practice. didn't mean to piss anyone off. mike z senpai has noticed me but not in the good way.

Yeah, Dismember I'm not a great Eliza player, there are other dudes out there that make better Eliza stuff.
One of my favorite songs from that soundtrack.

/snip

I made a thing
Does it work on squigs? And that's pretty good :) idk if parasols the one you wanna practice on for Eliza primarily but hopefully it works.

You're fine man. Honestly it's not even like that lol. Don't worry about posting to a minimum, just know...this game doesn't use the same terminology from certain game-specific things from other games (fatalities, ultras...etc). However, we do have supers...a pretty universal phrase.

However we don't have Eliza's supers in yet but to compensate I guess we could just allow ourselves to use a meter worth of sekhmet :) @Fedora_Ninja made an 8ker (total health is 14k vs equal teams) only using .5 meter...effing amazing imo.

Anyways don't learn those combos. They're old and will only teach you bad habits. Since you're new, some of what's been posted today I'm not sure would be feasible to recommend just yet, but check this out - Simple Eliza Combos

Like I said earlier, works on everyone haha.

I test on EVERYONE, not just Parasoul.

Needs tweaks on Bella, Big Band and Double as I mentioned, but it still works in an almost identical form.

I need to get my Sekhmet cancelling timing down. For some reason it eludes me, her recovery is always longer or shorter than I think it is from certain situations.

would parasoul and fillia work with eliza on a team im also thinking about learning how to play them

Here's a throw combo, not yet confirmed to work on everyone though.

5549 Damage.

Throw xx 623HP xx jump
IAD
j.MK xx 214HP
KK
623LP MP HP
j.MP j.HP xx ADF
j.LK j.MP
2MK 5HP HP xx 214LK
2LP 2MK 5HP HP HP xx 214LP LP LP MP HP

Not optimised either, have a decent chunk of dizzy left at the end, but it is basically the same combo as before, just with a throw starter.

If you wanna extend it via reset, you can kara-cancel j.HK into AD after j.MP j.HP, then throw, j.HP xx 214HP

New variation, gonna test this on more characters.
Throw xx 623HP xx jump
IAD
j.MK xx 214HP
KK
2HK xx 623MP HP
j.MP xx ADF
j.LK j.MP
2MK 5HP HP xx 214LK
2LP 2MK 5HP HP HP xx 214LP LP LP MP HP

5705 damage

EDIT: Confirmed to work on:
Parasoul
Big Band, but that 2MP > 2MK thing
Squigly, Eliza, Fortune, Peacock, Painwheel, Fili/ukua, Valentine with no Instant Air Dash
Cerebella, though it is more difficult to get the j.MK to land and of course you need to change the last link due to Cerebella character specifics.

Double if you omit the 623MP after boat, instead just doing 2HK xx 623HP

Oh I missed that. Anyways, could you tell us what needs to be adjusted for the special cases? I'm kind of burnt out and need some specific details.

@5th of dismember there isn't really a right or wrong team. Some teams have BETTER synergy. For sure..but I really don't think you should ask anyone about characters. It's something you need to decide on your own.

Some people like learning one character at a time...some think 2 is good. I personally think 1 is best because it forces you to learn their neutral without any help and let's you figure out how to deal with weird situations on your own. That's my only advice, pick one character for now and learn them. Since Eliza's in beta I think it's a wonderful time to learn her since we can do so in chunks...but to be honest, she seems very advanced & is a pretty deep character...we don't even have her supers & other moves yet.

So with that said...sure don't let being new stop you from learning someone if you really like them, but just keep in mind it'll take time and there's no "right" team unless you wanna be a tier groupee. Each have their own thing.

Anyways, for more talk about that sort of thing, beginners forum is probably best, but since it had to do with Liz I understand but remember this is strictly the combo thread.

Haha I mentioned the special cases before and in the video description :p

On Big Band only right now until Mike's fix is in:
replace all instances of 2MK 5HP with 2MP 5HP

On Double and makes it easier on BB but not necessary
Skip the 623LP OTG, making the series 623MP HP OTG only

On Cerebella only
replace 2MK 5HP HP xx 214LK with 2MK 2HP(1) xx 214LK. Unfortunately this is significantly more difficult, does noticeably less damage and builds a bit less meter, but if it is the only character specific thing post MikeZ's changes, so be it.

EDIT: Also just confirmed the throw midscreen also works on everyone similarly! Cerebella being the notable difficult child again.

Sorry on an iPad :/ and plus usually no one ever puts a description on it except for the forums

Sorry for cross posting and also not seeing if this is already in the thread. But this video has two purposes, so.

In this thread, it's for my Sek combo. Probably spacing dependent and weight dependent and all that great stuff. Only tested on Filia. I literally made it up in 10 minutes to have a followup to the bad gimmick before it. Sorry for the failed attempt I left in.

sHP jLP jHP jMP otg sMP sHP sLP sMP sHP

Anyone want an 8.1k meter positive corner BnB?

WORKS ON EVERYONE

2LK 2MP 5HP HP HP xx 623MP HP
j.HK xx ADF
j.HP j.HK
2HK xx 623LP MP HP
j.MP xx ADF
j.LK j.MK
5MK MK xx 214LK
5LP LP LP 5MK MK 5HP HP HPxx 214LP LP LP MP HP

Going to test which normals are best in some spots then test on different characters.

EDIT: Already optimised slightly! 2HK is better than 5HK HK in both damage and making the combo easier.

EDIT2: Up to basically 8.1k

EDIT3: Tested on everyone, works exactly as written on everyone, it is easier the heavier the opponent is but actually not overly difficult when you know where the delays are.

@gllt I'm kind of confused....what's the point of this again? Nottttttt trying to be mean, just...curious.
It's a gilt video soooo...there's no purpose except being there, being gimmicky and usually looking silly.
But I admit I'm a bit disappointed.

@gllt I'm kind of confused....what's the point of this again? Nottttttt trying to be mean, just...curious.

The combo is a combo in the combo thread, starting from Sek sHP. Before that its a huge gimmick, which is why it's the tech thread.
The point is that.. it's a combo. I haven't played in 3-4 weeks and just picked up my stick. I was bored. I haven't read the thread or done anyone else's combos.

Day 1 blind sHP starter Sek combo. Day 1 blind dumb Eliza gimmick.

@gllt just seems a bit late to be posting now. Plus the combo was dropped mid-way. I just do to see how it's helpful...I mean you're right this is a combo thread so idk...combos are combos

Again...not trying to be mean. Don't hate me on mumble :)

Huh?

The hardest links are like 4 frame, if that is what you mean. Of course it is possible online, any combo is.
Also there are a couple 1-2 framers. Arpeggio > light attack included

Haha, the double drop is the gimmick. I know you're not being mean.

The sMP crosses under, then Filia falls back in front so you uncrossup with a delayed sHP which is the start of the full Sek combo. IF I DID DROP AFTER THAT AND NOT NOTICE.. sorry I was tired when I made it. I'll go back and re-watch.

But the two drops you see are -intentional- and not the part that is the combo. That's the -gimmick- part which is why it's cross posted in the tech thread.

It seems like resetting with Sekhmet won't be very effective in general. Not only does Sekhmet have very few options, but she has hyper armor as well. This means that no one in their right mind would ever go for a reversal. Since Sekhmet can't grab either, the safest thing to do against Sekhmet will always be to block. The only thing she really has is a basic high low mixup, along with some gimmicky stuff like in gllt's video above.

Sekhmet's J.Mp is so dirty and I love it. I was messing around with some delayed J.mp stuff the other day and it seems like there's a lot of interesting crossup options both in the air and on the ground.

That being said, I still don't think her reset game is that strong in general. Since she can't grab and is completely safe from reversals, most people are going to be focusing entirely on how they block. While it seems like she has some dirty tricks up her sleeve, she simply has fewer options in general.

I love the j.mp fake/crossunder reset stuff though, and I'd like to see more stuff like that.

What is this... "Blocking" you speak of? What button is that?

Squigly s.HP xx Seria, s.HP.

I'm PRETTY sure the hardest link in the combo Tomo posted is neither Arpeggio into Light, nor sHP sx sHP.
Fuck Tapatalk.

Also, to be fair, that shit is near impossible online.
