I finally caught up with a few of my friends that I knew were Skullgirls fans. No surprise, they didn't even know Lab Zero was working on a new game, and these guys are way more into RPGs than they are fighting games. I don't get it. How did they know enough about SG to support the IGG, but not even know about Indivisible after so many months of announcements?
With this in mind, even if you assume most of the SG Backers were $1 Monsters, I'm willing to bet that still leaves 3-4k missing SG Backers that would want to support this campaign if they knew about it. There's gotta be a missing link somewhere.
I know there have been at least two already, but maybe more updates about Indivisible still need to be sent to the SG campaign? Maybe there should be a Sticky about Indivisible on the Steam forums? Has Sony even reported on it yet? Have all of the Skullgirls VAs tweeted about it? What sort of promotion was IGG planning?
On the plus side, it seems like a lot of supporters so far are actually discovering the game for the first time, and enjoying the prototype. As long as the person isn't unduly allergic to RPG-style battles, or coming off of a 4chan hatewagon, the response tends to be fairly positive. The prototype is definitely the campaign's strongest asset, so thank goodness for that!
