Good point actually. Gotta get over the high funding hump, and a large amount should fall in after.
I swear, if you start quoting kid Naruto, I will personally hunt you down and stab you.
I was thinking of TTGL so no worries.
Okay, so based on Cynical Brit's video a few pages back, I think I have an idea who to better target.
Specifically, people who've reviewed or Let's Played:
Youtubers already contacted (from the Media Coverage Index):
- Super Metroid
- Strider
- Rayman (esp Legends/Origins)- similar exploration gameplay and charm
- Kirby, particularly Amazing Mirror
- Prince of Persia
- Valkyrie Profile
- Chrono Trigger?
I have some other stuff I need to work on, but I'll update if I find anyone promising.
- EWNetwork
- Etika

to be perfectly honest Pan didn't really put Sg in the best of light and his friends were either "meh" or "It's stupid" sooooooo yeah they mention it by name but they don't really advertise it or show any true support for it.
"Yeah there's this girl who jumps and attacks and there are monsters she can fight with a team but she has an axe and jumps on walls"
those guys require payment to play a game. What about ManlyBadassHero? Not exactly your 1,000,000 subscribers youtuber, but has played some of the latest indie RPG games (LISA and Undertale), other horror games and might be a great help to our cause. I sent him a message, but maybe some messages from other people will do the trick. Also, any way to get support from the heavy youtubers? You know, Pewds, Markiplier... not sure if you hate them, but right now Lab Zero NEEDS any kind of support.
While this isn't wrong we can't really afford to be picky right now with who covers the game. If someone big like Pewdiepie (and I'm not saying this should even happen, I'm using this as an example) were to cover the game, other people might follow suit and think "this must be popular if Pewdiepie is covering it and people know about it, so I should cover it too". Right now we just need to get the game to as big of an audience as possible, despite if that audience is actually high quality or not. Yes, they might not be able to donate to the campaign, but the game having an audience encourages other people to cover it.Kjellberg and Fischbach play characters that serve extremely young audiences, the kind of 6-18 yr old kids that love Minecraft and FNAF. Even if they played Indivisible in one of their videos, I doubt it would attract much in the way of added contributions.
I mean, come on. Do you really think Pewdiepie is gonna talk about the in-depth combat and what it could mean for the full game, or that Markiplier might get into the Buddhist influences on the lore? Nah. They're shrewd, youth-oriented hucksters, and Indivisible is a poor match for that.
Any exposure is good, obviously.
The Economist said:In a study published in Marketing Science*, he found that well-known authors who earned glowing reviews for a new book could expect to sell 42% more copies, whereas a negative review caused sales to drop by 15%. For unknown authors, however, it did not matter whether a book was panned or lauded. Simply being reviewed in the Times bumped up sales by a third.

Last time I check "Zone" was working on Indivisible him/her/itself. I don't think they have time to put down what they're doing and say "I gotta make Indivisible porn stat!" even then I think those animations take awhile to make.I've heard that zone-tan made people get into SG with some flash animations and such.
We can guess what makes other people curious, but we can't know, we only know what works for us.
There were a lot of situations, where i presented something to a friend (a game, or a cartoon), and he was like: nah, not interested, but some other source made that friend start to watch said thing, and he liked it.
Maybe the indiegogo page, maybe the video, is not enough to someone, but a video of a low % speedrun will bring interest.
Maybe in some rule 34 site, someone see and think: "who is this character", and then, learn about that stuff.
I honestly think that we shouldn't be aware about who is spreading the word about the game, but how many people is doing that.
I would watch DSP rage for 3 hours in the prototype if that helped indivisible to get funded.
i'm just giving examples that any publicity is good.
I'd do it for free. I'm dead serious. I already donated and daily spread the word through FB and tweets, I'm wanting to do something else like team up with some people narrate the lore, put some art assets in a video and throw some after effects stuff around and ship that around to get people talking and go "ooh, what's this series?". I'm no bigshot, but I'm willing to throw my hat in the hype building machine.
I know, I don't want it to sound wrong, but I think it is important to let people know if they want more skullgirls, even if it's in many years, this is the way to do it.I'm not sure. It is important but how can you say it without making it sound like "fund it or you're not going to see SG2"? It could hurt the campaign in that sense.
A crowdfunding should be exciting and interesting, not threatening. I know this situation is worrying but we need to be careful with stuff like this.
If you actually want to make a video for Indivisible like I did and need editing I can do for you, you'd just need to send me all the raw files.
I have video editing tools, but they're locked away on my Desktop, which is dead =_= and I can't send any simple "raw" video file lol 3+gigs over a 15kb/s cellphone tether is about a week of sending. and even if I made a video, it'd be a laggy mess due to this shitty laptop..
well tell us what you want over a pm and from there you can work things out on posting the vid.
