Just do the input while the other super happens like you would any other DHC. Practice performing it fast and it should come pretty easy after that.

Quick question. Does anyone else seem to have difficult inputing HK Cymbal Clash? I can do LK and MK just fine, but I always seem to throw out his air normal on the HK one.

Actually yeah, I do have trouble with that. I frequently get j.HK instead. But I look at the inputs in training mode and I can see that I'm not really doing qcb+HK, I'm doing down, down-back, HK, back, so I wouldn't expect to get the cymbals. It's just weird I seem to consistently have this problem with cymbals but not with anything else, and only with the HK version of cymbals.
 
I am also having the same problem with HK cymbals, so it's definitely looking more and more like it's a thing.
 
I thought it was because i have bad execution
 
This whole time I thought I just sucked at the game. Come to find out there might actually be an execution bug. Of course that doesn't change the fact that I suck at the game, but still...

This is probably a side effect of no longer being able to special cancel j.HK.
 
What assists are everyone using? My other character is Squiggly and I'm using the stereotypical H brass knuckles, however beat extend seems awesome and I've seen it used to great effect.
 
Based on the 22 Big Band players in the database, it's 3/5 H brass, 1/5 L beat extend and 1/5 other.
 
Beat extend is for characters that want a good invincible super that can convert into a full combo, Brass Knuckle is for gaining distance for zoning and building seria charges since it gives hard knockdown
 
Did it change? Before I remember whenever I did level 1 sing into opera after H Brass Knuckles, they would be able to block opera. There's no hitstop on uncharged version I think. Level 2 always worked.

It works with either, why would hitstop matter?
 
I find using M A-Train can help set up some devious combos. Just go in front of BB after he grabs them, and get ready to combo right as he's done.

Yah but assist and grab scaling has its way, but in the mixup game it sounds good

I do. It's easy, you just click someone's name, then profile, click the postings tab, and all the posts are right there.

He wanted to spoil it. Only reason why he skipped typing anything hinting he was posting story mode stuff. Luckily, it was deleted and probably very few who would be upset look here for story junk.

That’s exactly why I started with an unrelated picture of Big Band’s face, cut out of context, and described it in four sentences, without mentioning anything else about the story. Yeah, I obviously only wanted to spoil all the good people out there, you’re absolutely right.

I gave two sentences about the story afterwards without plot details. How tragic.

But that’s right; I only wanted to spoil people. That I just played Big Band’s story mode and was hype as fuck and thus unable to think properly seems to be totally unbelievable, right?

And yeah, blame me for not following Mike Z’s every step and reading everything he posts. Also my fault I guess.

I don’t understand why a whole post, wrapped in a spoiler tag, only minutes after Big Band was released, should contain anything else but spoilers. Better click and check anyway, huh?

And I won’t even talk about deleting a post without proper reasons that I should have been informed about. That’s really weak.
 
They only real way to notify people of deleting posts is through warning posts
 
Also there is a thread to discuss the stuff that transpired over his story mode i suggest you take it there, I dont think any one will tolerate spoilers until after xbox has had it for a while

I made a quick video to demonstrate the concept. I really have no idea what you could be doing that would lead to what you're describing but I guess stop doing it and do this instead.


Most of the time I call Big Band and charge Center Stage at the same time to make the hit confirm easier. You don't have to, though, so I didn't do it in the video.

Hey quick question but is anyone having trouble getting Big Band on PS3? Like he shows up on the selection screen as a downloadable content but I can't find him in the PS3 store...

couldn't you also turn that into a burst bait by using C.HP?

You could do all sorts of things. The combo after the conversion isn't optimized cause that's not the point of the video :x
