@Horseman I haven't really finished a team yet so it probably wasn't me I don't have a Ninetails with drought :/ and oh that's how smogon works thanks for that.
 
I wish I could bring my team from gen 5 over. I have a Drought Ninetales I could breed, if I had a friend with a fire safari I'd be in heaven.
 
Y'know, one of these days i'm gonna plug my 3ds in the charger, connect to the PSS and let it THE WHOLE F***ING DAY online just to get the full safari of everyone here.

Also, i still hate my own safari: worst type ever, a gender-dependant creature and a goddamned vag pokémon

That said... i think i'm starting to get my dream sandslash.

Managed to get an attack/HP perfect sandshrew and an adamant sandslash... breeding both now.

i just need something with sand rush and a way to actually insert more perfect IVs on the creature (destiny knot copies 5 IVs, the rest are random... how do i copy the perfect IVs from both parents into a pokémon?)

if anyone knows a friend that haves sandshrew in his/her safari, please send me the friend code.

checked that... it works like this:

first thime you add me you'll get my "basic" safari, with 2 pokémon and no hidden ability

if you and me are online at the same time just once after i beat the league, you'll unlock my "full" safari with 3 pokémon and hidden abilities. i don't need to be online all the time, just once for activating.

that's why i've said that i'll let my 3ds online the whole day eventually, to "activate" everyone on the list.

I actually went to breed a scyther for you, and in the first batch 4 out of 5 had perfect IV's. The only problem is that one of them has swarm.

This happens to me all the time. As far as I can tell, if they're online they always have the hidden ability and if you're offline they have a good chance of having it. But whichever NPC in Kiloude town says that you need them online to get the ability is a god damn liar, that's for sure.

Btw, Masuda method got nerfed. I think it's 1/4000 chance now.

Dusk balls are good in caves, buildings and at night (Times 3 catch rate in any of those conditions)

The only time they are like a normal pokeball is if you're outside during the day :P

Hey guys, I know that poison got a bit of a buff what with it being super effective against fairies now, but do you think they could have something else to benefit them for more than just a new type? I was thinking that they could introduce a new weather effect, like an acid rain of some sort. Good for poison and steel(?), bad for grass, fairy, and maybe rock or ground? (Because acid rain eats away at those right?). Meh, maybe I thought of that just because I thought that regular rain should have some sort of erode effect on ground and rock types.

I dunno, adding a new type is fine, but the fact that poison also is a situational/setup type with toxic spikes is also something that adding a weather effect to it would be a bit excessive.

Toxic's accuracy is the equivalent of Swift when used by a poison type.
And honestly, Toxic spikes are deadly good when paired with Venoshock. If something is either steel or flying that switches in, you probably shouldn't be using a poison type anyways.

That being said, Acid Rain would damage steel types lol. I like the idea that it would be the "Anti-Sandstorm" in being good against ground, rock and steel. As well as fairy. Good idea man..

A new form of weather would be awesome, seeing rain and sandstorm all damn day gets pretty old, and the occasional sun and hail.

Sun comes up more because of Charizard Y, but I have to see ANYONE in online to use Charizard as an actual setup for Sun. He just happens to be on a team of sweepers so it makes the sun come up haha.

At least there's terrain now! Grass, Fairy, Electric and some other thing I forgot. Boosts those types' moves if the pokemon touch the ground. Also I think it can be used in conjunction with weather... Haven't TRIED that yet so I don't know for sure. But imagine an Electric terrain + Rain + Thunder. Aw yeah.
 
Terrains are alright, it would be way better if the buffed ones only effect you, and the nerfed ones only effect the other. Misty Terrain is kiiinda useful, but I don't see much use in the others but idk. At least in VGC format its iffy.

To be fair, both sides can benefit from weather just as much as you, so that's not really a big deal.
 
Depends though if you set a hail check on your team if they have no pokemon that use Hail, or Sandstorm etc. But I don't see the terrains being used like that but idk. Singles they seem good, but I only see Misty Terrain getting any play in Doubles, maaybe the Electric one, we'll see thooo
 
I can't get sp. atk perfect IV in my Petlils. Is it just luck at this point?
Breeding:
Male Snover w/ power lens sp. atk/def perfect IV
Female Petlil w/ destiny knot 31/x/31/x/31/31 (it goes hp/atk/def/sp. atk/sp. def/spd right?)

Two days and nothing. I miss pokesav. Would take 5 minutes if I had pokesav :c
 
I just stopped caring about that stuff. Well... not true, I stopped caring about IVs because anything going in my favor would break the universe. So I only worry about EVs and nature.

The problem is the Power lens. Power items take priority over Destiny Knot. Basically, Petil might as well be holding nothing.

EDIT: Correction, it's one or the other. I suggest taking off the power lens and putting a compatible male pokemon with the nature you wish to have on the new baby in there with an Everstone. Also, he should have a perfect Sp atk IV

Compatible male? That's only cottonee and who knows where to get that guy and I have like one grass safari with none being compatible. hell I got snover to have those IVs with chain breeding.

You're telling me you got a Pansage for the first slot of your safari (1 in 4 chance of having a pokemon incompatible). I'm so sorry... Lemme see if I can find something for you. I might have a gloom in one of my safaris. I remember it. What nature are you looking for?
 
The friend safari had Pansage Petlil and Quilladin :/ I thought Quilladin would be in the grass egg group but nope.

Also you'd really do that? A timid or modest would be great whichever you get first because I can't make up my mind on whether I want Lilligant to have more speed or more sp atk.

@Jutsei I don't like the story because the bad guy is a big weenie D:
