Shin Megami Tensei and Persona

I was asking because I saw a gif set of the anime and the game of two of his abilities (Poison Males, Enrage Females), and I was like "oh boy status effects. That's fair"
I think if you take out at least one of his goons you should be good, but I think it wouldnt hurt to have yukiko guarded so she can heal the males fro poison, or have yu equip a poison healing persona, or keep one in his arsenal then.

Heads up: There's going to be a P4U2 livestream on the 18th, showing off PerShoNa. There might be another announcement there, as well.

That's one of the bugs that's getting patched out on the 19th.

Cue Yukari player outrage.

"But...but...it's a completely necessary tool for Yukari to be competitively viable! You scrubs just don't want to learn and adapt!"

She can make you disappear and float forever.

While 'Sauna' works perfectly well as Shadow Kanji's theme, they should have gone with 'Muscle Blues'.
Kanji vs Shadow Kanji theme is Muscles Blues which is just glorious.

So a new screenshot of Yukari's arcade mode popped up. Might have some info on Adachi's role in the plot, but nobody's sure if the current translation is correct. So, does anyone here know enough Japanese to translate this?

Here's the supposed translation, in spoilers:

‘Adachi’….? Huhuhu… Truthfully, he’s quite a disappointment of a Shadow Operative. A human of such low caliber as my henchman is absurd.”

if Adachi is a shadow operative why don't Yukari and Junpei know him?

That's the thing. Why would he be a Shadow Operative if none of the ones he encounters (granted, reserve members, but still) have a clue who he is?

I do have a possible theory for if that line is correctly translated, though: maybe Adachi was given a chance for parole in exchange for being shunted over to the Shadow Ops without the knowledge or consent of the other members. Of course, this would rely on the police being more than willing to backstab the Kirijos, but if the beginning of Mitsuru's P4A story is any indication, they might be at that point already.

But I'm pretty sure Naoto would have none of that.

She dosnt she certainly is high enough to take a job spying on the kirijios

that I think is more for situational purposes than rank.

not really, none of the police knew that the kirijios and Naoto are persona users

I need to know what adachi's up to I GOTTA KNOW!!!!! lol

Adachi as a Shadow Ops? I wonder if they ever thought they Adachoose someone else?

That's a Sho-worthy pun right there.

Also, a couple of days ago, I watched a series of videos showing a few runs of Risky Score Attack. In the two videos showing Route C, I noticed that PerShoNa's stage in that route is the P4A version of the Hallway stage, not the current, redder than a bloodbath one. I'm pretty sure I saw a return of the Yasogami Entrance (Day) stage as well. Think we'll see any more stages return from P4A?

And so does Labrys, though that was already known. Dunno about SLab, though. Doubt she'd still be around to have one.

About 8 min in Unavoidable Battle is heard during this random Kanji vs Elizabeth match. Can't tell if these happen randomly or because a certain matchup condition was fulfilled.

Edit:

Wiping All out is also randomly played in a Mitsuru vs Naoto match at around 12:15. I'm guessing there is going to much more matchup specific themes this time around like the other arcsys games.

It was the theme that played during Elizabeth's boss fight on Persona 3. Maybe she just has an extra theme.

or maybe the MC is actually returning and battle for every ones soul is his theme?

No. Elizabeth still has that play for her. If P3MC was coming back, he'd have a version of Burn My Dread, anyway.

I heard that The Arena plays for rank up battles. Unavoidable Battle might be for a similar case.

I think its safe to say P3MC isnt gonna be coming back unless they choose to continue the story in his own game. arena doesnt seem like its in the stage to do that just yet anyway. also, like I said earlier, he'd probably play like a fire version of yu, or they'd have to remove elizabeth from the game so he can use the wild card stuff, which no one would be happy about.

He has Universe, not World.

when does Elizabeth use wild card? she just sticks with Death Arcana

She gains the wild card at the end of Persona 4 Arena.

Not that it really matters to her, she just summons a bunch of personas whenever she feels like it anyway.

Yeah, I feel like the Fool Arcana is more the form of the status of her current circumstances (the beginning of a new journey), rather than what her abilities are.

Okay, a couple of things to note:

1. Although both Yu and P3MC use the same weapon type and have the Wild Card, those facts do NOT mean that they would use the same fighting style in a P4A-style game. At all.

2. What's preventing Elizabeth and P3MC from coexisting on the roster? All of the personas she uses in her boss fight in P3 can be obtained by the player and brought into her boss fight without problems. Presumably, the same could be done in P4A. Or he could just... I dunno, use a different persona, like Orpheus Telos?

Makoto would use a different kind of sword then Yu. The one primarily used from the recent P3 movie and if he were to be added in the game it's likely gonna be that one.

Not to mention Orpheus is pretty different then Izanagi. I doubt he will end up being a Yu clone from a gameplay perspective. Story wise Atlus loves teasing the fate of this young man to the fans so I wouldn't rule anything out yet.
