And just like Squigly, this Thread too is reborn. Hopefully it wont fall victim to the same fate the "last" one did...

Overall, I hope to see some actual appreciative comments about the character and her contribution to the story. There isn't every day you can come across a likable zombie girl in a fighting game ya' know, and that is great in itself which makes me appreciate her uniqueness even more.

So one thing always bugged me about Squigly: Why has Alex always made such a big deal about the specific way that Squigly talks? She does that weird throwing her voice thing and not moving her lips. That seems like a strange point to focus so heavily on, so I imagine there's more to it.

I think he's afraid people might get lost with how Squigly is able to talk with her mouth being stitched and all.

I believe she was shot prior to them joining and Leviathan was sent by Mr. Contiello to protect her from the Skullgirls influence, namely her mother, from reviving her as one of her undead minions, though leviathan could not completely shut her off from the Skullgirls influence. I am guessing the whole fiasco lead leviathan to "going to sleep" with Squigly as it was all he could probably due at the moment while he protected her from the Skullgirl.

so wait I just thought of something.
In Eliza storymode she says that her samson and leviathan were the gods before the trinity.
Do you think that is why leviathan is able to prevent the skullgirl from taking control of Squigly? Cause his old world god power(while lessen cause he's not in the most suitable of host) is greater than the skullgirl?
(this would also explain why samson was ok with Filia using the Skullheart even though Alex says if a parasite host used the skullheart and became a skullgirl the parasite would be turned into the undead)

I'd always thought that was just a case of form before function. Stitches are a common motif among undead/zombie characters, so Alex probably added them to Squigly's mouth initially just for a cool design, then realized she still needed to be able to talk and came up with an explanation as to how sometime after.

• Selene's party is crashed and Squigly is killed
• Selene finds and wishes on the Skull Heart to bring back her family, and instantly transforms into the Skullgirl
• Selene resurrects her dead family (Squigly included) as undead slaves
• Roberto, having survived somehow, sees his family turning into mindless zombies, and orders Leviathan to leave him and prevent Squigly from also being one
• Leviathan obeys and leaves Roberto to die, then finds and enters Squigly, bringing her back to normal
• Selene and her army go off to fight Medicis, and Squigly and Leviathan fight against her (along with Big Band I think)
• Selene is defeated, the Skull Heart is destroyed, and Leviathan promises to stay with Squigly as she dies

Sounds about right, though I was not to far off (but I was unaware of Big Bands inclusion during the act)

true she was resurrected when her mother became the skullgirl (leviathan prevented her from going full zombie ) however I can't find anything yet that says she fought any skullgirls before Marie
Ileum and Big Band took care of Selene and doesn't really say whether she and leviathan helped out and when Queen Renoir became the Skullgirl it was in a different area so Squigly wasn't resurrected cause she was too far away
