The Smash Bros Discussion Thread

We should like, try and compile all upcoming game anniversaries (first, last one recently), and upcoming games to see if they show a sign for upcoming characters.
Because the sheer fact Mac was revealed for Punch-Out's 30th anniversary which was in the ARCADE speaks some volumes.

That's possible.

I mean, so far there's three ways of knowing a reveal
A. Game release in Japan
B. Game's Anniversary (Be it the last released one (Lucario revealed on Brawl's JP anniversary), or the first (Mac on Punch-Out Arcade's anniversary)
Or C. Random, can't be seen or known

Diddy is gonna be B next week

I almost agreed with you. Then I realized yer gurl wasn't Dixie.
 
As a bit of an aside to all the hype, the boxing stage has "WVBA" written in the corners and the logo on the floor says "World Circuit" underneath it.

It was a Punch-Out!!! stage all along, but I suppose that was PRETTY obvious, though well hidden.

I like Dixie though, but my qurl will always be Daisy.
 
I kinda knew that was the case this whole time.
Now the other two stages that don't have characters revealed with them that make sense are Pilotwings (Miis) and Pyrosphere (Ridley)
 
Then it shows a monkey with blonde hair landing on the ground... only for it her to be kicking off by.... RIDLEY DAISY!

Well how bout that Little Mac? Just got back from work, remmebered there was a direct and took a look. I was initially fervently disappointed, but then I realized "If I had only characters I liked in the game, it would be pretty boring." So now he'll be my punching bag pow!

...Just sayin' we might get something Metroid related then.
