Skullgirls Lore Speculation

Neither of those pictures are canon before they're confirmed, though. For all we know, the multiple Panzerfausts are just something a backer wanted in a sketch canon be damned, whereas I always saw the two gentlement in the second pic as a version of Egrets scrapped alongside Parasoul's nazi image, with design elements later re-used for Ottomo.

That's not to say neither could be mass produced in future established canon, but the feeling I got from what was said on Panzerfaust and Ottomo so far is that both are one of a kind.

I actually noticed this because of the 4kids thread go figure.

Holy shit i've seen that picture a couple of times but i never realised they look like Ottomo. Pretty sure its been mentioned that Tom isn't supposed to posses Ottomo, and that he stole him from one of the old defunct labs, the one that developed weaponry. I don't have a source for it tho. :(

Source is Ottomo's section from the DLC 3rd character voting category! Don't worry, you're right.

<Figured I move this over to this thread, since I think this might be too much conjecture from me to keep in the "what's canon" thread>

In earlier drafts her legs appeared normal. In the canon version though, between rocket boot soles, springs in ankles and undistinguishable amount of machinery in legs, I'm guessing not so.

I assumed/understood that losing part of her legs (e.g. from the knees down, as the superjump springs go at least that high) was part of her mutilation by slavers, though there's surprisingly little data to be found on the topic once one starts looking.

At this point, I think how much of Patricia is still part of her original body and not cyberized as part of Peacock is similar to how Ben was brought back as Big Band: Her brain and head, her torso to a certain extent, and whatever internal organs she needs to live that can't be supplanted with artificial knockoffs <But not as many as Band, as presumably, the extent of her mutilation only went as far as her eyes, limbs and potentially also her teeth>.

Somehow I think that during Peacock's mutilation, she was given cyanide. This caused her teeth and vocal cords to decay and some of her internal organs had to be replaced with machinery, which explains her robotic voice.

Interesting, but perhaps too specific and fatal? My knowledge of cyanide is short and only goes as far as a fictional spy with a false tooth full of the poison. Only a little bit can kill?

I see it being much more simple, and sadly more brutal. Likely she was punched and kicked so much, her jaw was shattered and several teeth were knocked out. The damage so severe, Lab 8's solution was a bear trap jaw replacement (or maybe they had something more sensible and Peacock insisted on something more stylized? In her story mode, she takes her metal teeth out like dentures when sleeping).

Like Big Band, she gets beaten nearly to death. The last thing Patricia sees is the Medici slaver jamming his thumbs into her eyes. Makes me wonder what happened to make the slavers so furious. The only clues we have is a guilty Marie sorry for running away and Dr. Avian's account.

Dr. Avian: To think... that poor, mutilated orphan I found may be the one to defeat the Skullgirl once and for all.

I'm curious how Avian found a war orphan presumedly still in No Man's Land. I think Peacock interrupted the shipment of kidnapped children (which probably included Marie and herself), fought and lost to the angry slavers, and one of the escapees found their way to tell Avian. Perhaps Lab 8 operatives were in the area tracking the Skull Heart?

Considering, I think Ileum was the one to find Patricia and take her to Lab 8

Maybe she, Leduc and Hive were in the same position as the younger kids with Ileum are now

I do believe it was Avian himself who found her, maybe her body was in movement by some other source than herself, maybe she was floating in a river or something like that.

Also, talking about Peacock, since Muro posted early drafts of her in the canon thread i've been wondering what an Adult Peacock would look like, she probably would be just like Jessica Rabbit but with the bear trap teeth and empty eyesockets, her arms would obviously be still made of metal, but they wouldn't be pencil-thin anymore while still keeping the robotic eyes on them, her legs be either flesh or metal wouldn't be thin either, what i'm saying is that as her body develops her robotic parts would need to go through enhancements and upgrades too, because i doubt she will keep the childish look forever.

I liked how she was presented in this fanart. Maintains a theme of cartoons from the 20s/30s while being a bit more adult character from it.

That or it might go the route of first drafts where she basically looked the same style-wise but was older, longer, etc.
With a 4th pair of eyes to keep proportions, perhaps? Also potentially darker, depending on how she deals with her mental health by then.
She was originally inspired by an adult, very disturbed, tormented character after all. Given some circumstances, this might very well be her future.

Here's a question I'd like to know:

Why are Aeon's eyes closed? Can anyone guess?

I think it has to do with the fact she's the 'goddess' of time. Maybe she can't see through space, but can see through time.

I forgot when and where it was said so don't quote me on this, but apparently Aeon keeps her eyes closed because whatever she sees becomes the true timeline?
Like, whatever she observes becomes canon.

I always assumed Aeon and the Sister Agatha form of Double fit under the Eyes Always Shut trope.
This describes a character who appears to have their eyes shut constantly, except, perhaps, for a few instances of surprise or shock. Nevertheless, they still give every indication of being able to see - which implies that this characteristic is actually more of a pronounced squint.

This is an old device to imply wisdom; more recently, it's been used as a device to show "wise guys." This device, when used as such, is called "kitsune No me" in Japanese ("fox eyes" or "shifty eyes" in English).

One should be wary when this character type does open their eyes. It usually happens when they get dangerously serious.

Headcanon on what her eyes actually look like:

Aeon's just blocking out all the haters from her field of vision.

Are you just salty that Annie doesn't have a perfect hourglass figure?

She doesn't need it, she's perfect the way she is.

Looking back at Beowulf's story mode she does have pretty wide hips, so that's something.

Okay I need to ask this. It might be an old question but I need to.

Parasoul sory mode.

Ending.

Why the fuck does she grab the SH AND WISHES?!? Couldn't she just take it and put it away before Umbrella grabs it? Cerebella could just hold it with no problem.
Was this because maybe it was one of the first storymodes to be developed or something? I don't know, it's not to be disrespectful towards L0 or stuff, I just don't get it.

Oh man, this reminds me of a sick theory I've been meaning to share.

I think she was probably mutilated that specific way on purpose. Based on the canon info thread, she rebelled against the slavery and was turned into an "example" for the others. What kind of example? Well, based on some ....stuff.... i accidentally came across on the darker parts of the internet, without going into details, there's only one good use for a slave with no arms, legs, eyes, or teeth.

Yeah, no wonder she's so insane.

If she hung onto it for too long it'd reform into Marie again.
It's a period of time long enough to kill a cat-girl, but not long enough to drive back to a castle.

Or toss a distance and destroy it? Or drive to a mafious villa?

Yeh, I'm pretty sure the implication is,
Patricia wasn't going to ever be obedient enough for slavehood, so she's already lost profits. Instead of tossing her to the side of road, brutally mutilate her and toss her to the side of the road so that the other children become more obedient.

Would explain why i sometimes see other players have ping spikes that last for about 2 minutes, going from 80 ping all the way to over 200, and back to 80.

Hey, are there any different kinds of religion esque things in the game? I know the main one is called Trinitism and that Eliza hates it, but I'm pretty sure Eliza also mentions aspects of a different religion?

Why bother with religion when Eliza's already Satan?
Yes, but still. I imagine their might be a sort of religion that worships parasites on a greater level? I'm sure Trinitism isn't the only religion there, because I know Eliza hates it, so I'm assuming she worships a different cult :o
