Something's going on in the background, hard to tell exactly what tho.

Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

Mike, buddy, I might have some bad news for you...

Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

I think a good balance might be the way Resonance of Fate handles it, the game does have your standard repetitious pre-battle and post-battle dialogue for random encounters in the overworld, which probably won't even be a thing in Indivisible, but in actual dungeons there's no post-battle...

Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

To be fair, I think Mike's made it pretty clear that it's mainly Metroidvania with some RPG elements and themes.

Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

Also I might say that even if you aren't aiming for gaming to be taken seriously as an academic art form, you can still expect a level of quality from it. Whether you think the quality is lessened by the presence of memes or references or what have you is entirely subjective of course, but I...

Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

Uh, Grumpy Cat is very explicitly a meme. And the line can be blurry at some points but things like Me Gusta, Business Cat, or Bachelor Frog are indisputably memes, they have no other position in popular culture than being memes. And take it from someone who had a very embarrassing meme phase...

Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

Uhhhh, those are mostly references. References to other video games as well, which works for something so arcade-y in nature. I think the actual memes that people were more upset about were, Etc. etc. I believe Mike at one point said that references were fine, but memes, as in internet jokes...

Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

Yeah, honestly like, I really like Project X Zone, one of my favorite games honestly, mainly for the character interactions and side stories but whatever, and even I'll tell you that fights in that game are a grind. Boss battles in particular take forever because to balance out the gigantic...

Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

I appreciate not needing sound since, honestly I don't play a lot of games with sound anymore. I just don't wanna bother people, and my headphones aren't long enough for comfortable game playing :0

Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

Basic disclaimer of "I don't know if this has been said before or if it's been changed" etc. etc. Whenever I played the prototype, I kinda felt that aside from Razmi, supers really weren't worth it since they had so much cooldown time after the fact. I get that it's already pretty easy to...

Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 Thread

Yeah, honestly, I'm having a really hard time saying who exactly had the best presentation. Sony showed the most games, and probably the games with the most polish, but in terms of actual gameplay were very same-y and uninspired (third person action game, third person shooter, first person...

    Scythana, Half-Giant Jailbird

That was something that we've talked about in here before (I'm still down for it being a super where she pulls a pipe out of the ground or something), but it's never been officially said no.

    Five Nights at Freddy's

There is ZERO reason for their faces to open and ripple like that, every kid in this sister location, has absolutely shit their pants because that is not family friendly.

Each and every one of these are gonna give me nightmares :0

I mean I at least appreciate that we're getting away from rotting leather and teeth and spikes everywhere.

Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

I mean, I'm not sure exactly how much of a level is loaded at any given time, but Indivisible stages are a lot bigger and just as detailed as the average SG stage.

It's less so that we don't like the concept and more so that our computers don't :0

We need some proper run cycles up in here.

    Five Nights at Freddy's

I don't know if I'm glad or disappointed that we're headed back to the standard formula. It was nice for Scott to branch out into colorful RPG's and books and stuff, I just wish he ventured more outside of this particular IP.
