Pokemon

Traded pokémons obey the badge level limit. Captured ones follow you to the death

Ha! On the note that Greninja looks like the Persona Jiraiya:

You have formed a good bond with Greninja! Greninja will now DIE FOR YOU.

Oh really? Time to grind with impunity then, I guess.

Was looking around the museum and found an interesting piece of art.

It's simply riveting.

Is anyone else captivated by Valerie's eyes, I mean damn.

Also the darker skinned Furisode Girls are hot

Well I'm stumped on how to get Eevee to evolve into Sylveon. I thought it would be easy as maxing affection with Pokemon-amie and then just leveling up, but apparently not, since that just evolves it into Espeon/Umbreon. I really don't want to look it up, but I also don't want to be missing something obvious. Anyone mind hinting at what type of evolution it is? Like, evolution by level, by item, by happiness, by area like with Glaceon/Leafeon, etc. Also I'm in the 5th gym so if I can't do it yet just say.

use poke-aime. get it full hearts.

Is there a difference between max affection and full hearts? Cause it has 5/5 hearts on the affection meter, which is what I originally assumed would trigger the evolution.

level it up once when you get full hearts on poke-aime

It evolves into Espeon. D:
Well if I know it's pokemon-amie anyway I might as well just look up exactly what to do. This is annoying.

You forgot that it needs a fairy type move in it's attacks, then you level it up with max affection on pokemon amie

Edit: Ninja'd

Sylveon Evolves from eevee with full hearts AND a fairy type move in its move set.
oh yeah, I forgot about that.

Turn the DS upside-down, max Pokemon-amie and have a fairy move, level up while it's raining, etc. How is anyone supposed to know about these crazy new evolution methods without looking them up online?

get a pokedex guidebook? I mean, I love all this secretive stuff! pokemon games need day one worldwide releases all the time!

I thought the pokemon amie thing was kind of obvious. And having a fairy move wouldn't be so ridiculous if Eevee actually learned any. I mean it might learn one really late, but mine's at level 40 ish and still nothing. Also 5 badges in, and no Fairy TMs yet.

Giving Mewtwo Recover, was a dick move on Game Freak's part. I'm just gonna waste my Master Ball on him now. I don't even want the Bird Trio anymore lol.

I'm beginning to get curious what's in my Friend Safari.

One of the gym leaders is a fairy type and gives you Dazzling Gleam. Whether Eevee learns that or not is another question entirely, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it does and GameFreak made that gym and TM specifically for trainers who want Sylveon.

I totally forgot the the 3DS has an accelerometer.

Ditto is the ultimate buttslut.
In related news, I had to add an accent over the e to get my ditto to be named "Sexual Beast".

Full affection and training on your pokemon is great. They'll straight up avoid attacks, hit more criticals, and purge status effects from their system on their own. Also though those may all just be benefits from full affection only, I dunno. This is like the first Pokemon game I've played in 15-14 years, there's a ton of stuff I'm clueless on.
This is all new. They also have other cool stuff, like withstanding a hit with 1 hp like they're holding focus sash. I found that out during the elite four, when my Hawlucha withstood a Wood Hammer that ended up killing their pokemon with recoil.
...although that would be ridiculously annoying in pvp battles. They don't do that in pvp do they?

Eevee learns baby doll eyes really early. If you caught one at a higher level, you probably missed it. I don't know when else you'll be able to teach her a fairy move.
And as for that TM you get from the gym, Eevee can't learn it. I tried.

Pancham/Pangoro is probably one of my favorite pokemon ever. I'd totally cos-play as pangoro is I had more creativity, disposable income, and less self respect.

I named my Pangoro Po.

Edit: Did some looking around and it looks like Charm was changed to a Fairy type move. Eevee learns it at Lv. 29 so there ya go.

Finally saw Mega Banette.
Holy fucking shit.
Literally the only natural shiny I've ever caught was a Banette, so, um, hooray for me?

Back to the game, I've got some things to say:
1. Tyrantrum is the best fossil pokemon ever, no ifs, ands, or buts
2. There's a large abundance of assholes in Lumiose city for some reason (especially the clothing stores)
3. Team Flare are strangely honest enemies
4. Ice type still sucks
5. After you beat team Flare at the power plant, start to leave the area, and go down some steps, there's something there that awaits you that is quite possibly one of the few "holy sh*t!" moments i've had in these games.
6. One of my pokemon found some sort of "Strength Bag" in Super training, and it isn't listed in Serebii's list so I guess I'll put it here: Successful shots will award more points in the Pokemon's next Super-Training Regimen.
7. Shauna's fireworks speech was somewhat awkward with my female trainer.
8. Ice type still sucks
9. I don't get o-powers, like, at all.
10. Retaliate has the best animation of any attack in the game.

That's what I've got so far.

@Dr.Sanity O-Powers are basically buffs you can give to friends or a passerby. They very from increasing your critical hit chance rate, getting a stat buff, increasing your capture rate, or reducing the price of shop items.

On a side note, I got myself a female Froakie with the Protean ability which changes it's type into the same type of whatever attack you are about to use. Gonna start breeding some more of these.

Enter Lumiose City from route 14, then turn right and enter the first building on your right. If it's the correct building, there should be 2 kids and a clerk that says she doesn't know what the building is for. Go to the second floor through the elevator.

I was by myself...with the lights off in my room. Jesus Christ.

Boy, checking things out, i think making a raichu like i want will be hard as hell...

if he fllows the same idea of gen 5, i'll have to pray that breeding a lvl 50 pikachu (will need discharga for sure, nuzzle is pretty intresting as a damaging surefire debuff, thunderpunch/fire punch would be useful and volt tackle is a signature move, even if suicidal to a creature with low HP and defence)

after ALL THAT i'll evolve it to raichu at lvl 10 and pray it gets stronger than if i evolved it at lvl 50 (or i'll die from the regret)

then again, i haven't even got my second badge yet

I actually found this while I was playing past midnight in the middle of the dark 2 nights ago.

What the actual f*** is that even about lol.

Daaaaaaaaang, Psychic Gym is awesome.

wait on the raichu thing until you get further in. that much effort is something you'll want to do a lot of research on with leveling and other such pokemanz science I have no clue how to work with.

Guys... what level you evolve the pikachu at makes literally no difference XD The stats immediately jump to what the stats would be for the Raichu at that level :P You guys are so silly.

I used to be a silly nums nums about EV Training: thought EVs reset with every evolution. Derp.

Okay, so there's been a lot of silly trainer dialogue in the game so far, but I just had to post this one:

If this doesn't scream "Pokemon Z" I don't know what does.

Daaaaaaaaang, Psychic Gym is awesome.
It's too bad that they didn't give the leader any build-up though. That was my problem with the grass leader, too.
The thing I really didn't like about the psychic gym is that the "maze" was really just a straight path with randomly placed dead ends. You would come across a fork, and if you chose the wrong path you would know from finding out it cuts off within 10 seconds.

This is clearly wrong. Haven't you watched that episode where Ash wins against Lt.Surge because Surge evolved his pikachu too early and it wasn't fast enough?

Old as it may be, now i want my pancham to evolve.

and i'll do some research on evolution effects now...

I thought it was because Raichu evolved before it could learn moves only pikachu could learn? you cant take the logic of the anime and apply it to the games.

now i'm curious... never actually checked the stats before and after evolution. always tought evolvine made the stats rise faster instead of an instantaneous "everything is +10 now".

my Bancho (pancham) is almost evolving, so it's time to check things out

By the way

that's how i imagined this kind of stuff
