I was thinking about team buildings, while following my casual/peasant mindset of "using what's fun/my favorites instrad of competitive monsters" BUT with enough horsepower to hold themselves for more than 6 turns in a battle. and like any 21st century digital boy, i'll post it here asking for opinions, even if i won't like them...
So first, my planned team for the first run
Delphox (started with her, she'll follow me till the end, then i'll give her a nice vacation)
Blastoise (thing's almost a literal tank! looks cooler mega-evolved than i think it would, too. add protect to the list and if you can status damage a foe you could just bleed him to death... i just need a move that does it. Scald, maybe?)
Pangoro (Coolest new gen pokémon till now. and his ability powers up punching moves. Dark gives him a little protection against psychic, so this one wil be mostly attack, speed and HP, power-up punching his way into glory)
Flygon (love the design of this one, and it can get some insanely powerful moves. just wish i could give levitate and get arena trap or hyper cutter back
Talonflame (same thing as delphox, but the flame body ability can be useful giving a parting gift to the foes)
Pikachu (i think i got the weakest pikachu of the world, this fella's damage is shameful. but i'll need it to breed a new one for the other team idea)
After i beat the game, in a "just for teh lulz" movement, i think i'll make a "pikachu-derivated" team, even if it's bad, it at least have a theme. so it'll be:
Raichu (no one loves the poor fatty fella)
Azumarill (marill was the first pikachu wannabe. and thick fat+rollout may give him some edge over the real deal)
Pachirisu (reminds me of a lovely hiperactive friend i have)
Emolga (to the sky! with the thunder! Thor's squirrel joins the battle! - still think it's ugly as a sin)
Dedenne (a mini raichu that haven't shaved it's whiskers)
anything other than plusle and minum. (still thinking about that part)
It's funny like you could do "generation evolution teams" with some basic ideas (the first rat-like thing, the first bird, the 3-stage bug, etc.) and see how the design choices evolved from gen1 to now.
