Street Fighter V

Guess I'll do a wishlist, since I doubt any of them would make it in anyway

Top 5 most wanted:

R. Mika
Karin
Urien
Alex
Q

Least favorites:
El Fuerte(will be redundant if Mika comes back)
Evil Ryu
Oni
Rufus
Decapre

Pretty much expecting 90% of the SFIV cast to come back, so this is a long shot

Urien
Saying this will probably jinx it but since Nash's appearance seems to suggest Illuminati, I think Urien seems somewhat likely.

Can someone explain the Urien love? Because I don't think I get it.

Not much of a 3s fan but I always thought it's because, thanks to his Aegis Reflector, he had a very interesting and unique gameplay plan. And his bloodthirsthiness was also untypical in SF at the time.

he had the setups the speedo and the badass attitude that made him cool in everyone's eyes.

So if they bring him back without the speedo... no bueno?

He's extremely fun and Aegis Reflector makes for interesting set ups and combos.

so Business Suit Urien? yeah business suit, totally.
That would look really weird. It needs to be a costume now.

but i like him all cool and formal... :C

aw man... that Speedo is just part of him isn't it?

I mean we all know this game's gonna be filled up the wazoo with costume DLC

Might as well give Urien a suit if he's back

<Maybe give Charlie and Birdie retro costumes, while we're at it>

I'm saying I want it as an alt, just that it sounds weird.

I'm not a fan of the speedo really, but I don't think that's something you can really change, it would feel strange if they did.

no no i mean that Urien's Speedo is actually part of him. like it's his skin. sorta like with pokemon that seem to wear clothes. like Machamp's speedo, part of his body can't be removed.

I mean, he's really rocking the whole Olympian look, who knows, could have been part of the genetic experiments.

Now I just want a Pokemon game where the Pokemon are SF characters. Oro can be Pikachu.

Just give me Urien at all.

I like urien because while ken and ryu are like: hadouken, shoryuken, tasumaki senpukyaku.

and akuma is: weoo, huh, duh.

Urien is: DESTROY, KILL, KILL, DESTROY, AEGIS REFLECTOR!

You do know if we get Urien we're likely getting an awful new voice, right?

Like Dudley in SF4? Yeah, i know.

How are you guys going to feel when they pull another Nash and make him a motion character?

I don't mind.
tbh, I think if they're gonna give Chun motion lightning legs, they might as well rekka.
I mean they probably won't, but still.

As a charge character main, a person who loves charge characters, and tends to pick them first off in games

....

..

please make everyone a motion character.

I wonder how is the average time to hold a charge in SFV, in SF4 it takes too long.

like, unless you're an arc charge character, just make them motion.

People seem to really like the Nash change, I didn't mean to suggest it was a negative.

Honestly as much as I LOVE playing Urien as long as he plays the same I will gladly take motions over charge partitioning every day.

It's confirmed charges are WAY faster. Fast enough that Bison can charge his Head Stomp during his Ex-Fireball animation.

I hope they bring back his voice actor
I hope so too, checking his IMDB he's still around doing TV stuff.

He also voiced Gill, Necro and Twelve.
Turns out he's Canadian, you have 4 Canadian Street Fighters

That's good, now we just need Urien.

Now, since motions are simplified too (i hear that command grabs were quarter circle motions), i'm thinking, what about the half circle motions, like dudley's attacks, or makoto's command grabs, maybe they are quarter circle motions too, and probably the hardest motion in the game will be the double fireball for the critical arts.

Can you give an actual time frame like half a second or something?

Half circles are probably gonna stay half circles

Command grab 360's were made into half circles I thought?

Nope. I was searching it all over (cause I often end up with charge characters) and the only thing people said is that it's faster and you can charge the head stomp during the ex-fireball. You can see that in Bison's reveal trailer at 0:50.

Yeah, i'm seeing the move list, there is a lot of half circle motions in birdie, i assume it is the command grabs.

And cammy hooligan combination is also a half circle.

All the critical arts are double fireball or double fireball back, and they use only a single button.

Yeah, this game doesn't have complicated motions until now, i bet some grappler will have a critical art that is a command grab and will require a 360 motion, but i hope there is nothing like the charge supers or ultras in SFIV what is that thing with guile, hold back, go foward, then back, the up foward?

Hugo Gigas Breaker as a 360, let's go.

I don't find them difficult in any way, but I think they're dumb and they weren't in 3S, charge characters had double fireball supers so I'm not sure why those came back.

hold back, go foward, then back, the up foward
Nash had that in Alpha 3 if I recall correctly, but yeah, there's no reason for that.

I'm kinda bad with directional inputs so, i have trouble even with double fireball motions if i have to do in a short amount of time, so charged supers are specially hard for me to do. =P, Of course, i'm training to solve that problem, but that is the thing, in 3s there is no charged super, so when i go to 4 i am like: ok, what is this?
