Whelp, not me at least. Waiting until Wii U release to play smash. Not a fan of the 3DS. You're not alone... We may be the only sane people here.

I don't recall a SINGLE castle in the background for the mine carts. But I dunno. I just know it isn't Donkey Kong.

Or it could be, I dunno, part of an Adventure Mode stage? I mean, Sakurai said there wasn't going to be another SSE, he didn't say anything about there not being an Adventure Mode similar to Melee's.
 
Just played some local Smash Run with my girl-friend (not the dash) and I gotta say it's super fun, especially when she doesn't get many stats but you're put on the same team for Team Battle and totally escort her to victory like a knight

It's not meant to be the EXACT SAME as Great Cave Offensive, but taking parts from both the minecart sections

Yeah, the mine cart never goes past that particular portion, but I've walked past that fucking door so many goddamn times in a lost confusion that I have no doubt that the image is of that one specific location.

Yeah but that could refer to either "Adventure Mode" stage OR "Multiplayer" stage.

I mean I'm not sold on the idea of Sakurai ignoring two Kirby games that were on the Wii in favor of another Super Star themed stage. Unless it's Mt. Dedede and that stage is meant to be a mix of references ala 3D Land.

Either way, I'm waiting until Sakurai addresses this himself.

The only "explanation" that makes sense is that this is a sort of "traveling stage" that requires players to jump into a minecart to move to the next section so they have to stop fighting and travel together else the stage kills them.

Otherwise, I still think it's part of some adventure mode and "stage"is a translation goof

Remember that Sakurai didn't make Epic Yarn or Return to Dreamland. #samuraibias
 
Just looked through the entire trophy list and I can confirm Sakurai likes Nintendogs more than Yoshi, Shulk, Wario, Duck Hunt, and ROB. Hell, Nintendogs already has a stage, and 4/5 of those do not.

Kirby has always had 2 new stages each smash. I'm still expecting an Epic Yarn stage.

and occasionally about things he DID make
 
Come to think of it, every Kirby stage has been from a game he was heading. That's an interesting thing, actually. We'll see though, who DOESN'T love Epic Yarn?

I always sort of viewed Nintendogs as Duck Hunt's stage. Cause dogs.

In Classic, Duck Hunt, Wii Fit Trainer, and ROB all share the three stages not allocated to a specific character.
Living Room, Find Mii, and Balloon Fight.

Speaking of ROB, he better have a stage this time around. I hate the stupid thing, but if he's gonna be in the game he shouldn't be an afterthought without any stage or music.

I can see how you could possibly make a stage for him, but he was a Nintendo peripheral, not a game.
Unless there was some music to go along with the games he interacted with that I'm unaware of.
 
So has anyone broken their circle pad because of Smash yet?
Kinda curious since that seems to be a thing, getting kinda worried about my own because of those stories, ahahah.

I've been throwing out smash attacks left and right and mine hasn't been so much as damaged yet.

Gyromite, one of the 2 games ROB interacted with, has a soundtrack of 8 songs.

Stack Up, the other game, has a soundtrack of 6 songs.

Considering the things they've done with short retro songs in the past, there's no reason they can't do a Gyromite and/or Stack Up medley. Ice Climbers was a short ass song to begin with but look at what they did with that in Brawl. It was amazing. Or look at the retro medley they had on Mario Bros in Brawl, or the TWO Balloon Fighter songs they have in Smash 3DS, all of which are amazing. ROB shouldn't get ignored just because he only had 2 games. I mean, that's already more than Shulk.

Hopefully Duck Hunt isn't ignored either, a Duck Hunt medley+a stage that takes place on the iconic green grassy area would be awesome.

Edit: I just checked, Ice Climber had even less material to pull from (only 5 songs, 1 game) and they got multiple songs in Melee and a stage. If ROB has nothing this time around either Sakurai gives zero shits about the character or they're just being lazy as fuck.

Holy heck does StreetSmash give you a lot of coins. 6 streetpasses and 3 KO's gave me 2500 coins.

No because I have control over my body. The same people who broke their circle pads are most likely the same ones that jump up and down and shake uncontrollably while playing Call of Duty online.
