A moveset based on yoga moves and exercise routines isn't even remotely as terrible as a moveset based on rolling around and barking. Fuck, some people are stupid.
 
Technically there's also the toys you use to play with the dog, walking it, and other things.
It's possible, but again, unlikely.

Anyway, what if for Christmas, Sakurai revealed Ridley, or another brand new character?
I'd hope so.
It's been A LONG time since the last character reveal, let alone a brand new one.
I mean, I'm not begging for one or pissed there hasn't been one, I've readjusted to that but I'm starting to wonder...

What if for christmas, Sakurai announced that the game was finished, and that today was the release date.
And everyone got up on christmas morning and rushed to gamestop to fight for a copy instead of being with their family.

I would laugh my fucking ass off if there was a family opening presents, then someone checked the computer and immediately just ran out the door and started getting in a Highlander-esqe battle for Smash Bros.

I can't see sakurai giving any shits about christmas or doing anything special for it. Maybe a new item in a very christmas-like fashion, but that's as far as I can see him going.
 
To be fair, I could see him putting coal on some kind of stage...

You realize while certainly not as big as in America, Christmas is still widely celebrated in Japan. Just almost completely detached from the religious parts.

Point is, it's not some obscure western holiday for Sakurai. I'd be surprised if we don't get something even just a little special.
 
On the topic of Fit Trainer's unexpectedness having everyone think "Well s/he's in, now anyone is possible!", Let's all remember that Fit Trainer was picked partly BECAUSE s/he'd be a suprise.

Not to say WFT isn't suprising in itself anyway, but it's not like they just happened to pick her/him with the shock value being a side effect. They were actively TRYING to stump players guessing on the roster.

TLDR, we shouldn't gauge unexpectedness of character selection on the one character where it was intentional. And besides, WFT was quite the interesting choice, but Villager was the character that was already rejected from Brawl first before showing up playable anyway.

So sorry for this being a double post, but speaking of Villager, if his Vs. mode victory pose and fanfare aren't the little dance and jingle from paying off a portion/all of your house loans, I will just be devastated, since they really would be the best choices.

Also, one of his taunts should be eating a food item like in the games so it can be the new milk chugging.

You know something cut from Brawl I hope comes back?
Meta KNight was going to have his own "Rock" version of the Kirby theme for his victory fanfare.
But it was mysteriously cut.
I hope every double dipping franchise character gets their own theme.
Example:
Regular Link - Standard
Toon Link - Snippet from the "Great Sea"
Zelda - Zelda's Lullaby
Ganondorf - Snippets from the organ playing
 
What, that was very much so in the game.

Although that would be pretty neat if it wasn't just Meta Knight that got their own victory theme.

Guess I misthought.
Either way, double dipping franchises should have variant victory themes.
Like Bowser should have something from his airships as his.
 
I believe that everyone was supposed to get their own unique victory theme, but Meta Knight's the only remnant of that concept. Maybe it'll be revived in this one.

That could just be because, in my modded Brawl, hearing Paper Mario's Twink's Theme as Mario, Peach, Luigi, and Bowser's victory fanfare tends to be a little silly.

Speaking of which, Peach's Victory Theme as Twink's Theme, pweez.

We need more Mario RPG everything. They make up some of the best Mario games and yet get little to no representation in smash.
