Shin Megami Tensei and Persona

Well with Persona, since it's more of an experience in the society of the area instead of a post-apocalyptic setting, using the Japanese honorifics to make it feel more authentic made sense and was a nice touch. In the case of the novel, assuming it takes a more dark and chaotic turn, I'd say just use the english equivalents, like the SMT games do.

Information spreading around that the "new person" is actually Kanamin sans makeup. Well.

Also, Nanako story is:
"Nanako Dojima is involved in the story as she is visiting Yu Narukami in the city, along with her father Ryotaro Dojima. She loses contact with Yu when he somehow ends up transported to the Mayonaka Stage, leading Nanako to cooperate with Kanami in order to resolve the mystery of the Investigation Team’s disappearance."
and then she puts on the Kanami suit.

More importantly through "along with her father Ryotaro Dojima" so Dojima is bound to appear... somewhere..

Oh right and you know those "Persona" things that the game is named after? They are formally announced to be in the game dancing too because of course.

Remember when getting the persona was a big deal in the plot of P4? Everyone had their own little subplots and their "other side" that they didn't want to admit was there and overcame it to get their Persona?

I'm not interested in the least, but the electric guitar thing is pretty funny. Last thing I'd complain about honestly.

Personas with instruments? Makes sense. You thought they would have weapons in a rhythm game spinoff? In any case Persona was already getting stupid with the plot since the first Arena game.

This appears to be a relatively fast localization [like Arena I didn't expect much story dialogue] since the dubbing appears to be nearly done so good news on that.
 
They wouldn't complain if Izanagi's guitar could cast Deabilitate.

So is he referred to as Yu Narukami [Anime Adaptions/Arena Games] in the dance game or hero/protagonist? I keep hearing conflicting answers on this. Based on this trailer I assume it's still gonna be Yu.
 
It was going to be Hero back when Dingo was still heading the project, but now that Atlus is at the head it's gonna be Yu.

Some interesting notes:
  • When playing Free Dance mode, you can't just pick any character. The character is automatically chosen for you depending on the song. However, you can pick whoever to be their "partner" character and might share dialogue together if you do well enough.
  • The best rank you can get on the songs is called KING CRAZY!
  • The models supposedly look really good without any clipping. I guess there was motion capture done for this game too.
  • On Personas, if you get over a certain score, the character will summon them at the end of the song and they'll play their instruments. That is literally the only thing they do. Of course the cut ins are the same art because why not.
