Did Koromaru and Akihiko REALLY need S.Links? I still think havng party members as S.links was stupid. I'd rather have other characters I could get to know and enjoy rather than just the party who I'll already get to know a great deal. Sides, nothing beats the Old Couple. P3 Star was also pretty decent to me.

DSP can can do it though, he cant possibly mess up a game this simple control wise.

Just ignore him like I do. When he was making his rounds through Dark Souls 2 I heard about him. Watched some videos of his trainwrecks and got off at the next stop. At least he's not doing P2 which would just ream him out for not grinding tarot cards or negotiating.
 
I can't imagine him getting through the first battle in an SMT game
 
In other news I learned that there has already been a SMT x FE. (Well really just mechanics from FE3)
Two games titled Majin Tensei I & II released in the mid 90's.

No excuses now Atlus.

Also I have no idea whether DSP is a really successful troll or truly stupid at this point. I think it might be a little bit of both. iirc I remember one of the srk mods saying he got banned there for selling bootleg arcade sticks or some shit (don't quote me on this though, look it up), so he's probably as sleazy as he sounds. Whether he's intentionally milking his reputation at this point or not, it doesn't really matter. He's not funny.

All that's avaliable right now is a hack that adds english text to the menus. Seems like the project has been frozen since '09.
I've also been checking up on the status of other untranslated SMT games and it looks like Aeon Genesis is putting a little more effort into finishing their translation of SMT if... following the release of Megami Tensei I & II.

I want to say that he's just cashing in on the whole "bad at video games" persona. But I watched enough of his Souls series videos to believe that maybe he really is just bad at games and unwilling to learn from his mistakes.

seeing DSP buy a long sword for his character and then buys a second one by mistake. then gets a new pair of boots for Chie which he then SOLD by mistake and left with out even noticing.

I'd pay money to see anyone dumb enough to think Shadow Rise is a winnable battle.
 
I always had more trouble with S. Yukiko than S. Kanji but that's just me, but using revival beads on S. Chie??? Maaaaaaaaan cmon she's not even a full fledged boss. Also lol at the video set to private. I'll wait for the ThisIsHowYouDon'tPlay version. I'd rather give those guys the views as to this potential train wreck.

uh.... no i wasn't there when he was fighting shadow Chie. I saw him use three revival beads ON Chie during the Shadow Yukiko.

After he reset the game DSP took like a week in game of grinding to run back to save Yukiko just in time.

Oh I know, I even said that when he was brought up. But I can't stand to see him bastardize another game I like. I don't care if someone has trouble or is new to games and struggles with them. But this guy has been at this for years and plays worse than some of the completely new to gaming people I've helped get into League of Legends.

If someone who has never played anything more complex than Tetris can learn to ADC. DSP can learn to stop chugging estus while standing in front of a boss.

And now you have me talking about him. In other news, I've managed to clean up the formatting of the 2nd megami tensei novel. I have a question to anyone interested in reading it. There are two translations out there. Both are basically the same except one keeps japanese honorifics untranslated (ex.Ohara Sensei) while the other translates them into their appropriate english equivalent (ex. Ms. Ohara).
Does anyone have a preference for translation style? Or is either fine? I won't say which one I've been using but I noticed this when I was reading through the novel looking for errors.

I kinda prefer the English equivalents myself, though I understand why the translators for Persona keep the Japanese honorifics in. Just a matter of taste, I guess.
